The hot all-nighter fire log from renewable heat products LLC, will burn hot for 8 to 10 hours in a well-managed wood stove, keeping you warm all night long. It is an extremely dense, all-natural wood fire log. The hot all-nighter fire log can be used in wood stoves, fire pits, campfires, & fire place inserts.

Does not last 8-10 hours. Barely lasts an hour!
Logs arrived with 3 of the 6 logs ordered (placed two orders of 3 logs) with at least one split in the logs. I understand that this is an Amazon problem as well for their shipping department, but the log's packaging is not ideal for shipping in small orders. The engineering of the logs seemed sound, based on the description on the merchants website, but they do not live up to it. I think the logs are a new product, as there are only instructions for 2 other products online (the logs say coming soon). These logs do not last even half the time they say they will. I've tried different fires (hot and slow fires), and had similar results, with a max burn of a couple hours. The compressed material falls out in decent chunks. I'd try to find another green alternative. I would return if I felt like lugging the 3 broken logs to the local UPS, but don't feel it is worth the trouble. Hoping to save a few "hippies" (no offense there, we think of ourselves as modern hippies. Lol) the trouble of trying this green fire option.

Loved..
I just bought them for the first time over Christmas. Loved...loved them. kept the fireplace lit for at least 8 hours while my daughter had a sleep over with friends Burned down to ash. I did start fire initially with paper and kindling and added a couple wood logs for assurance that I was doing it right. I only had to "play" with the fire on two occasions to get the flame going again....as that is what is so aesthetically pleasing about a fire. added bit more paper...but definitely not as if I were tending to an all wood fire in the same fireplace. Can't beat the price. I bought another pack. My only question is : is there any toxicity concern?? From what i could gather on line....as they are said to be a "green alternative , all natural," that there ought not be any chemicals involved. Does anyone know for certain of this??
