This "appetite suppressant" did not work for me at all. You can buy psyllium husk at any store that sells laxative treatments. I don't recall ever reading about it's effectiveness as an appetite suppressant. This certainly didn't help to control my appetite at all. However, I was able to go to the bathroom much easier. That is a plus. I did a little bit of research into Cascara Sagrada, the only other ingredient in these supplements. This is what I found:Cascara used to be approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an over-the-counter (OTC) drug for constipation. However, over the years, concerns were raised about cascara’s safety and effectiveness. The FDA gave manufacturers the chance to submit safety and effectiveness information to answer these concerns. But the companies decided the cost of conducting safety and effectiveness studies would likely be more than the profit they could expect from sales of cascara. So they didn’t comply with the request. As a result, the FDA notified manufacturers to remove or reformulate all OTC laxative products containing cascara from the U.S. market by November 5, 2002. Today, you can buy cascara as a “dietary supplement,” but not as a drug. “Dietary supplements” don’t have to meet the standards that the FDA applies to OTC or prescription drugs.That alone is reason enough for me to not use this product any longer. Does what it promises! Works great on regulating your fiber intake
I can't say that this is a any sort of powerful appetite suppressor but I can say that It has helped me regulate my fiber and makes me go to the bathroom at a more consistent time every day instead of all over the place.I have only been taking this for 3 weeks and haven't noticed anything extreme but the product isn't claiming to be extreme, so this product gets 5 stars from me!It does work as a cleanse and I am proud to say that the fiber portion of it seems to be filling me up just like any other fiber supplement would.As for how many your suppose to take, 6 Capsules all at once seems like a long and I tried to take them all at once and it almost made me nauseated than anything. I decided to split those 6 capsules in half and take 3 in the mornings and 3 at lunchtime which is a good 6 hours apart.Great product Overall!I did receive this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review. Bill pills but works
Makes you feel full... no directions on when to take. I took 3 in the morning and the other half at dinner when I have the most cravings I did okay, took all 6 at lunch 2nd day.. didn't eat lunch not hungry but I had health snack.. i believe it's best prior to a larger meal but tomorrow I'll do like another reviewer and just do 2 per meal.. no side affects with taking all 6 at a time.
