Miracle for my anxious dog. And I don't say that lightly.
This stuff works MIRACLES for my 2 year old cocker spaniel mix. She's a sweet dog, but very anxious (obsessive, roams around the house whining for unknown reasons, barks when trash bag settles and makes a noise). Seriously felt badly for her. Exercise and keeping her busy wasn't enough to snap her out of those obsessive moods.Vet recommended these capsules and within days, she calmed down significantly (though I admit I was very skeptical, hesitant to attribute the improvement on the pills). I've been giving her one capsule every night before bed for 2 months, and our sweet Olivia is back! She lays on her back for belly rubs, plays with the other house dogs happily, watches our pet bird without losing her mind.Sadly, I lost track and ran out of pills She's been without the pills for a few days for the first time since we started. She is back to obsessing, whining, running around the house aimlessly, trying to crawl up the brick fireplace to get at the birdcage, jumpy when we reach out to pet her, etc. She's never been aggressive (thank goodness), but very sad to see her so on edge!I ordered another bottle as soon as I ran out, but they aren't here yet. I can't wait for them to arrive so I can get this girl back on her meds! And if I can put this on auto-ship, I will DEFINITELY be doing that. I can't let her run out again. The difference is night and day. Skeptic no more.I'm sure this stuff doesn't work for everyone, but if your dog is suffering, this is worth a shot.BTW, the powder inside the capsules tastes HORRIBLE (yeah I tasted it, don't judge)... and there is a lot of it packed into the capsules. So although technically you CAN sprinkle the contents onto/into something if your dog doesn't love taking pills, keep in mind the taste is potent. My dog won't touch it mixed in anything, and if she chews the capsule and it breaks, she quickly spits it out (I was wrapping them in pill masking paste - it worked for a while - now she runs away when she sees the paste). I have to use a pill shooter to get them in her now.TL;DR:Miracle for my anxious dog.

Worth every penny to have a calmer, less anxious dog
This product was a last ditch attempt in a long line of attempts to help our 6 year old rescue Catahoula to calm down and not be so reactive to . . . .well. . . everything. Living in the a city neighborhood he reacted to cars driving by, people walking through, mailmen, delivery men, the cat, thunder, lightening, fireworks, loud noises, the neighbor and on top of it all he had separation anxiety. Giving him time to adapt to a new environment helped. Hand feeding and structure helped. Exercise helped. Bringing him with us helped. But he still just couldn't settle completely. In anxiety he had attacked other dogs, tore down our curtains, tried to scratch through a door, pulled me out of a chair while I was holding him, and, to top it off, broke off his canine tooth trying to get out of his kennel. We had tried Composure, DAP, Rescue Remedy, Calming Remedy, Lavender essential oil diffused in addition to some behavior modification tricks. Nothing really helped. It took the edge off a bit but he was still giving US anxiety to decide -- take him with us? leave him at home? Either decision had it's own issues. And in the summer we can't leave him in the car, but we can't bring him out of the car often because he was reacting so badly to other dogs if they got too close. It was giving us anxiety to have this dog. Trying this was a last ditch effort. We had made a commitment to this dog and we wanted to give all our effort to it. I was skeptical that this would work and it was expensive. But if it did work... . miracle! It did work. He is not a dog I would take to the dog park but his reactivity has decreased significantly. We can talk him off the freak outs at the neighborhood noises much quicker and he listens. (Well other than the mailman. . . he still has issues with him). He is less reactive to other dogs and we can enjoy him more and bring him with us more often. Thunderstorms are less of an issue (and we don't buy into his drama and let him work it out so we don't re-enforce the behavior). We will see how he does with fireworks this summer but hopefully it will be less traumatic than last summer. It may not work for all dogs but it for sure worked for ours. Worth every penny to have a less stressed and less stressful dog.

It Works in Conjunction with Training
This product seems to help calm my dog, who can be fearful/ anxious at times.Used in conjunction with positive training techniques, this supplement helps. I also noticed that it needs to be given a good 12 hours before I see any signs of extra calmness in my 40 lbs. dog.I initially used it daily, but noticed that my dog would get an upset stomach after about 12 days of continued use. I can't directly attribute his upset stomach to this supplement. However, I now just use it for two or three days around the times that I know will be a little more stressful for my pooch. So, if you use this product to calm your dog and train him while they're calm, the training has a better chance of sticking. If you're thinking of using this product like some humans use valium or xanax (as a quick fix for a stressful situation) and without any training, I don't think you're going to see great or long-lasting results. For what it's worth, this company also makes Azodyl, with which I had great success some years ago with an older dog. So, I tend to think that they make quality, well researched products.
