Great value and accurate
I do woodworking and did not want to shell out for a woodpecker square for aligning saw blades and fences. This does the trick and is pretty accurate. It's smaller than advertised but that wasn't an issue. Came in a nice little box that reminds me of old HP lab probes I had in school.

Highly precise. Price was nice.
I ordered this in "Used-good" condition for five bucks. As described, it had a minor scuff on the blade. For that price, I couldn't be more pleased with this.Because it's solid steel with no moving parts, I can trust that it won't get knocked out of square. It's really pretty hefty. If I need more precision than a combination square or if I need to check a quick 90 or straight edge, this will be my new go-to. It would be nice if the handle had a 45 degree edge, but that's a minor complaint. Overall this tool serves its purpose well, and it seems like a quality piece of steel that will be in my tool kit for many years to come.I am a hobbyist woodworker, not a machinist. I haven't checked the dimensions with an electron microscope like some other reviewers, but it's more than accurate enough for my needs. If exact length is important to you, the blade is not quite 6 inches long and the base is not quite 4 inches long. Not crucial to me since I don't use this to measure length, but it might be to you.

Great and Acurate little 4 inch square.
I have a 6 inch and 2 inch machinest square and wanted a 4 inch to round my set out. I work with wood so the high precision of the top end squares would be wasted on me. As long as this is square to the eye, it will work for me.I got this and opened it. The box it came in was sturdy but a little worse for the wear. Opened the package and wiped the protective oil off it. Unlike other, uninformed reviews, I think a protective coating of oil is a good thing. Metal rusts unless protected.I measured the exterior for square and then measured the interior for square. Looks perfect to me.Machinists squares are not supposed to have graduation marks, they aren't used for measuring. They check things for, well, square. The sharp edge just means a great reference edge when I check for square as well.I'm very happy with how accuracy of this tool and especially due to its low price.

Shuold be called an "L"? But man, its square!
I watch a lot of tutorials, read a lot of “how-tos” and reviews on equipment. Always kinda figured I didn’t need one of these. I held off ordering for months (although I don’t know why, principle I would guess) and finally dug into the kids college fund to finance this shiny steel accessory. When my video doorbell told of its arrival my heart skipped a beat, I finally own a steel “L” called a square. I could not get my table saw, miter saw, tri-square (also not shaped like a square) and framing square out and dusted off fast enough. I set out to prove my many botched pieces of wood were due to faulty equipment. Oops. The two squares are, as you can guess, square indeed. I set out to check on my saws next. Now we have some challenges. After a bit of fiddling this tiny but herculean piece of precision tells of saw blades ever so slightly out of alignment. I make adjustments, finish a cold adult beverage, make some more adjustments, and lo and behold, square blades! Or at least blades square to tables and fences and stuff. This square, although tiny, is perfect for the purpose. It fits neatly into the equipment to check on tolerances and its heft makes it very stable. I have made 15-20 cuts with the saws since alignment and the cuts (with the exception of my error) are superior in every way now. Wish I would have purchased a long time ago…

Great value for the money, quite accurate.
I checked the accuracy of the square on my grade A granite plate and also using a very accurate 1x2x3 block. the precision is > than 0.001" on both the inside and the outside of the square. There are a few imperfections in the finish and a small ding or two on the blade edge, but it cleaned up very easily with a fast honing. It's not perfect, but the imperfections are quickly and easily fixed.

7 not 6 inches and minor defects
Mine looks identical to Mr. Crisp's photos. It is 7 inches instead of 6 and has the minor imperfections in the same area of the lower blade interior as his. Plain cardboard box (a bit suspect) labeled 6 inches. Maybe supply chain issues? Decent value.

great just great
A good tool for modelers and in the shop to keep things straight. A must have item

Exactly as presented. Simple clean, works!
It is perfect, with the exception that it has no hole to hang it on a hook or store it in a way other than putting it in a drawer - which would be out of sight. I love the tool because it's small (so many huge ones), clean and straight. I solved my own problem of storing it by buying a Gorrila Strip magnetic tool/ knife strip. Those, by the way, work very well and are inexpensive and easy to install. I still will try to drill a hole in it to hang it near my workstation. It would be great with a small ring and a lanyard on it.

Ahorre tiempo, dinero y salud

Not even close to accurate
I bought one, checked it against trusted squares, and did the line-drawing test - it was very square. Then I bought two more, both of which were out of square by about 1/16 - 1/32 over 6”. That’s atrocious accuracy for even a speed square, let alone a machinist square. The “0.0006” accuracy” is a complete lie - the quality control by Steelex is absolute junk.

Great square for the price but doesn't cut it for me
The data on this square is great for the price and the reviews are good so I thought I'd give it a shot. The details on the packaging match that of the description. However, the accuracy of the square is somewhat different. The steel is of good quality and for the most parts I find it really well made. However, the biggest upset I had with the square is the spine of the blade is not straight and true. Each end of the spine of the blade has a subtle roundness too it. It's (barely) noticeable if drawing a straight edge with it, but for precision work it's a different story. Holding it up to the sole of a hand plane clearly shows the curvature at each end of the blade. Seeing as how I intend to use this as a reference to check for trueness I'd prefer it actually be within the specs listed. I don't plan to just do mark-up with it.This square is a great value for most purposes but was just not suitable for mine. I was expecting more from a precision instrument. The square is made in India in case anyone was wondering.

An essential tool for any workshop
I was having difficulties with my 3D printer's print quality and many guides suggested checking the squareness of the gantry. Well, I'd done so, very carefully, during assembly. I decided to still give it a shot with a precision instrument like this and it turns out they were right. My frame was a little off-angle and I was able to precisely correct it using this tool.

Beautiful machinist square at very fair price
Even big brand names are often selling junk these days at a premium price. But this very modestly priced machinists square is excellent for workmanship. I don't have equipment that can prove it's accuracy, but it agrees with my Veritas square that I know is precise. The finish is perfect, the machining is smooth and bur free. I would highly recommend to anyone else who wants one without spending $50 - $80 for a premium brand name.
