I use this in a untraditional way but it’s actually a pretty good bug repellant. I use it on my porch lights (hanging in a mesh sock) and it really helps keeps all kinds of bugs away! I do enjoy using it as a soap but learned about using it to keep bugs away from farmers who has horses and would bathe them in Irish spring to help with flies. Stuff works wonders!

This soap is great as a soap but it does something else as well - it discourages bugs. I have a bar hanging in most rooms of my house now. They smell good to me but not the bugs. So far, we are bug free.

I have always loved Irish Spring, my mother used it. This time I was trying out whether or not it would keep mosquitos and flies away. I put it on a nail and believe it helped some. Smells good every time you walk by.
