Q: How does this taste compared to Lavazza Tierra?

I haven't tried Lavazza Tierra but I don't recommend Lavazza Decaf if you like dark roasts. While they label it an Espresso bean, it is more of a light roast. Not appropriate for espresso.

Q: How is this coffee decaffeinated? I see some reviewers mention that it's decaffeinated via the swiss water process, but where do they get that info?

According to Lavazza's website it is decaffeinated using the CO2 method. "The Pozzili plant applies the innovative supercritical CO2 process which has a natural, selective action on the beans...".

Q: Is the decaf low acid?

I buy the decaf for when someone is visiting and they want decaf. So I don’t drink it. However, I drink regular Lavazza exclusively and I don’t have any problems with acid.

Q: are the decaf expresso beans whole or ground?

Whole. They’re the best decaf expresso beans on the market.
