Allithiamine Vitamin B1 50 Mg, White, 60 Count

When my son had anorexia nervosa back in 2015, this product did more than any other to bring him out of it. I read that thiamine is an important component of GABA, the brain chemical that allows you to calm yourself. Restricted eating leads to thiamine deficiency, which in turn makes the anxiety spin out of control and makes the eating disorder much worse. The thiamine in most multivitamins is water-soluble, made from tar, and you don't absorb very much of it. This is a fat-soluble thiamine made from garlic, and you absorb it. I gave this to my son in the morning, and by evening his old personality was back. Of course, other interventions were necessary, but this was the most striking and instant moment in his recovery. His pediatrician also researched this and said it was worth a try. She said it couldn't hurt him. The only effect of taking too much is that you can smell like garlic. If that happens, take it less frequently. Disclaimer--I am not a health professional. I am just a dad who did some research and found something that seemed to work.

Would like to know if this is All Thiamine or Allithiamine - label says All Thiamine, even though my purchase history shows Allithiamine - all one word instead of 2 separate words......

It would be really nice if you could read the label on the bottle. Such details as the dosage per capsule. An added barcode label was placed directly on top of the most relevant information that was not printed anywhere else on the bottle, and could not be removed without destroying the underlying label.
