Perfect firmness for sitting
Although sold as a knee pad, I use it for a cushioned seat in the shower, as I have a bad back and can't sit on a hard object (such as the marble shower seat), as it would rotate my pelvis. It's firm, but soft enough to cushion my hips and not cause pelvis rotation, the latter of which would send me to my doctor.I suspect if it's good enough for my medical use, it will work great in the garden.

THICK, COMFORTABLE, PROTECTIVE...
I'm very pleased with this kneeling pad (plus I really like the blue color). We're taking care of three puppies currently, which requires a lot of kneeling down. Having recently had a knee injury, all the ups and downs were exacerbating the injury. This pad is thick and comfortable, and helps make all the ups and downs more comfortable. This would obviously be perfect for anyone who is doing a lot of gardening, or anyone who has to kneel on the the ground for any purpose. It could also be used to sit on, when one has to sit on a hard bench. Since it's lightweight, it would be easy to take with you. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

It's Perfect for our needs. Sturdy and does the job to protect your knees!
I give this mat 5 stars and exceeded my expectations! I use it kneel on when bathing my disabled 13 year old. Stacks of towels is how I used to handle it. This mat may seem super hard when you get it. At first, I doubted my decision. I kneeled on it once was so thrilled to have just the right tool. Highly encourage other customers to "bank" in on this one, Very reasonable cost too.

If you want to save your knees, look elsewhere!
These things are like concrete. I ordered them for my home Gym, trying to save my knees for some exercises...these things feel like concrete. Not soft in any way. Gardening? Save the money, dirt and grass are far softer in the middle of winter in Alaska then these things. I will probably send them back. I can’t figure out how so many people gave these things any higher then 1 star.

Hard as a rock
This pad is not a comfort pad. It is way too hard to use. I should have bought the Leatherman pad. I was trying to save a few buck and received junk. Penny wise and pound foolish. :-(

Very good kneeling pad
Very firm and durable! I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it.I kneel on it in the morning and it really helps my back when I do this. Not sure why it helps my back but it does.Nicely made!

Use as light, non-absorbent tub seat
Just had a total hip replacement & had been limited to showering with the use of a tub bench. I wanted to have a BATH but it was daunting to try to lever myself safely in & out. I was looking for something light weight & non-absorbent to use in bath tub as raised surface to help with that & this filled the bill. I stacked them (I'm small, so I cut mine in half & it worked fine) for enough height to assist in cushioning landing & achieving "lift off", lol. They float, so you may need to position yourself before filling the tub, altho I don't. They are very firm, meant, after all, to stand up to the concentrated pressure points of knees.
