The Seven Sisters: The Seven Sisters, Book 1

An exciting read!
A friend recommended this Seven Sisters series to me and i am very grateful. Am currently reading the second book in the series and it is just as great as the first book. I enjoyed the history and the adventure of the sister. Sort of like traveling without the hassle of airplanes, airports, and crowds. Really enjoy the history lessons and the in-depth character study. Of course some mystery as to what and how the sister evolves. A Good Read!

unique and interesting read
I enjoyed traveling with the first sister of the six (seven?) to Rio while she found her history. It was fascinating to hear details of how the famous Cristo statue was created and built. I was caught up in Maia and Laurent’s love story from the past and the ensuing story wrapped around it from the present. I found the story very well-written and read it in a day! Looking forward to reading the next sister’s story!

great story telling!
The writing engaged me immediately. The storytelling was outstanding. I loved all the characters. This is great work of historical fiction. Which is my favorite genre.I didn’t know much about Brazil, and the story really connected me with a Country to the point where I would love to go there. Were previously I did not really have any interest. It’s very clever, and draws you into the next book. But I can’t wait to read the last one where everything comes together. It’s a little bit long, but reads quickly

Out of the millions of books I read this series without a doubt is my favorite
I can't believe this series came from the imagination of the author. This is the second time I've read it. The first time was a year ago, and when I tell you I still think of it every single day, I'm being completely honest. I've recommended this series to dozens of people, and every single person has said it's the best series they have ever read. Even if it's not your genre, give it a go. Your only regret will be that you can't read it through first time eyes again!

The series was the best I've ever read.
I was told about this series from a new friend and am so happy that I followed through and purchased it.All eight books, by themselves, were rich in story, but the interwoven threads that happened in every one, made the series even more fantastic. Small inconsequential meetings end up being a major plot in another book. And finally, in the last one, co-written by the late Lucinda's son, everything was brought full circle and we had answers to all our questions.I'm a voracious reader and have read thousands of books in my time. None of them have ever managed to capture my senses like this series did. I hate that Lucinda Riley passed. I hope that the rumor. that the series may make it to the screen is true. Then again, I'm very happy having the characters reside in my own imagination.Thank you, Ms. Riley, for enriching our lives with this huge story. And many thanks to her family for ensure ing that her legacy lived on and the story of the seven sisters was finished. Finished in a way that honoe=rs her legacy.

I felt unfulfilled at the end
I enjoy this writer. I like the way she writes, the verbal pictures she paints. I did not "get" the ending. I read it over three times. After I had thought about it, I realized she was employing the old, or maybe new, trick that writers have. That of hooking the reader with unfinished business. I don't mind a few loose ends, but she obviously has a sequel planned. There were too many loose ends. (Where is the 7th sister? Who was the young boy found by Isabella? Did Pa really die?) I felt the book had such a good beginning. I loved the Geneva setting with the sisters. I was actually IN Geneva at the time of reading. The whole story though, seemed to take forever to get going. Slow, I liked the Izabella/Laurent love story very much, and I was intrigued, but it almost became THE story, as I began to forget Maia. The whole sister situation was not delved into much. And at the end, the chapter on Ally? Why her? Why then?

Excelente leitura!
Simplesmente AMEI!

Enthralling
This is the first book I've read by this author. She writes with great description. The lives of the characters are intertwined. The storyline is unusual.I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
