Second Book From The Homicide Hunter.
Joe Kenda is famous from his documentary TV show which aired for nine seasons. This is his second book and it serves as a sort of update on Lt. Kendra's life story. He disclosed the retiring of the TV program and how that program helped him deal with the mental effects of his long career and the things he has seen.He shares some interesting cases that were solved. Each case has a "trigger" listed, basically the motive that triggered the crime. One of the main aspects of this book is that Homicide detectives while being heroes are also human. As such they carry a burden mentally and we often don't think about that.I like the book. It's the same direct approach that the author is known for in the show. Only with spicier language. A fast, intriguing 5 star read.

Another great one from Joe
This is a great book. If you've watched Homicide Hunters, then there are no new stories; they were all covered in the 9 seasons. However, Joe adds new information and tells the story as if you were sitting at the kitchen table with him. He adds color he couldn't put on TV and puts in his typical side notes, which are quite funny. Just to hear him tell the stories as if you were a friend made the book worthwhile. I would recommend to all Kenda and true crime fans.

Buy this book!
I watched all the Joe Kenda TV shows, and thought this book might just be a rehash of situations I had seen before. Not so. “Killer Triggers” reveals much more of Mr. Kenda’s personality and opinions, which are quite entertaining! Also, he told more details about the effects his work had on himself and his family. Despite efforts to avoid this, I binge read the book and finished it all in one day. However, I’m keeping it on my Kindle and I’ll reread it in a few months. It’s been ages since I enjoyed a book this much.

Fantastic book
I guess I’m one of the few people in the world that I’ve never heard of Joe Kenda. His book came across my feed and it looked interesting so I thought I would read it. I’m so glad that I did. It was a fantastic book with the stories of his career. I would recommend it highly- not only was it well written but you could tell his personality and his dry sense of humor came through. I saw that he wrote a Previous book and I went ahead and ordered that one. I hope he writes many more I know I’m a fan now.

Such A Pleasure!
It's Joe Kenda, all right! Reading this, you can just about hear every last word spoken in his wry, deadpan, and somewhat tired voice. I don't need the audio, due to the sheer strength of his personality, the written word is like this already. His views on criminals haven't changed, and there's still a lot to be learned from his pool of vast experience. Wish Kenda would write a complete how-to on home and personal security next. Bet he has some tricks up his sleeve none of us have thought of yet!

Another Amazing Must-Read Kenda Book!
Lt. Joe Kenda delved into more cases and more of his personality traits that make him and his show, 'Homicide Hunter' so endearing to many people around the world. What got me about this book, were the cases, how his team solved the cases and the toll these cases have taken on Lt. Kenda. Some cases didn't have much lag time when the crime occurred and when the suspect was caught. Other cases took years to solve and it was the dogged determination of the detectives and the teams that Lt. Kenda cultivated like, 'The Magnificent Eight', that proved to themselves that every murder victim was worth fighting for. Really Great Read. Simply a must, especially if you are a fan of the show and you've read, 'I Will Find You'. Thank you Lt. Joe Kenda, your wife Kathy, your kids Dan and Kris, and to your teams. Just making people aware of what law enforcement officer's deal with help to understand them and what they do for us.

Killer Triggers.
I just started to listen to this in my car, it’s the 2nd one I’ve listened to. The first book.’ I will find you,’ was about Detective Kenda’s life as a homicide detective, the series was on TV ID. The stories are well written, very detailed, and and not only give the story of 30 plus years as a police officer, and very brilliant Homicide detective, but also reflects on his Personel life during his time on the force and the first book also adds about how he got to be at Colorado Springs police dept.. This new book is beautifully written, and getting the CD Kenda narrates the stories. The stories are very interesting and well worth listening to, or reading ...

I loved this book!!
Joe has a way of telling it like it is. I’m an unofficially retired paramedic in NC. I have struggled with my street demons on and off for the last twenty years. I began my career in the South Bronx NY, burned out, and moved to NC to slow down after almost ten years in the mix of violence and sickness. To my surprise NC was almost the same just with a southern twist. I deliver pizza now after almost a year of deep depression and anxiety. I don’t know if I will get back to EMS but watching and reading Joe talk about his experience in the life made me feel like there’s someone else in the world who understands the toll it has on our mind and soul. Thank you for sharing your stories and your path to healing!!
