The Real Deal
There are several coffees out there claiming to be "the world's strongest" and I have started to try them out to see which one can really back up the claim. I started with Death Wish and found that while it tastes very good, it does not live up to the hype of being the world's strongest coffee. The Red Goat on the other hand... this is the real deal. The bag is labeled "original grind" but comes in a fine powdered espresso grind. This makes for a more concentrated cup than a coarser grind, adding to its overall strength. I don't have any way of scientifically measuring caffeine content, but if I were to reference how awake I feel after drinking a coffee and my need or desire for a second cup I'd say Red Goat has more caffeine than any other coffee I've tasted. The only real downside to Red Goat is that there's no pretense about flavor when it comes to this coffee. It doesn't say anything on the bag about being flavorful. There are no subtle notes of chocolate or nuts here. This is a dark and robust coffee with a medium-high bitterness. You get that hit of bitterness and then it's just coffee. I mostly drink it black, but cream and sweetener are definitely recommended if you are not used to drinking very strong coffee.I made a cold brew with it as well, which was a little difficult due to the fineness of the grind. I don't recommend cold brewing this coffee, the grind and flavor don't really lend themselves to that particular brewing method. If you want to wake up and need a shot in the arm, this is the one right here. Blows Death Wish out of the water in terms of strength and price, but don't expect the flavor to rock your world.

It's super strong, but smooth and easy drinking
Red Goat coffee is delicious! It's super strong, but smooth and easy drinking. I ordered 2 more bags today. I work with Paul Lavelle, whom left a 1 star review, that ain't right. Paul wouldn't know a delicious coffee if it fell in his lap. He drinks Maxwell House and Folgers coffee using a municiapl water source. Red Goat coffee is the bestest!

Somewhat odd but good flavor
Very good coffee. The flavor is slightly acidic and takes a little getting used to. Exceptionally good when mixed half and half with Wodfee coffee.

Great Grind % Flavorful Kick
I am a Death Wish drinker who thought I'd give this one a try. I really enjoyed the finer grind of Red Goat. I think it allowed me to get a stronger brew with less effort & product. The rich taste was smooth without being too oily or acidic and it had a fine crisp finish. The name may not be an attention grabber, but I have become a fast fan of Red Goat and I am ordering more to join ranks with my other high caffeine brews.
