Has an everlasting stickiness as long as surface is clean!

So I don’t really know what the life expectancy of these are, but I bought mine in May 2021. It has held up since and has made it through two summers of PA heat. It now falls off the window and slides down. It has left a lot of funk on the windshield. Tried allowing it to cool completely and reapplied to windshield, fell off as soon as it got warm again. I love the long arm and the positioning of it a lot. Just sad it didn’t last longer.

This is just what I needed. Fits perfect, it does not slide it stays on the window with no problem.

I was concerned that it wouldn't stick due to "leather" like texture on dash. It did stick. About a year in one of the parts that adjusts length of arm fell out and disappeared. So I couldn't use it for a couple of months. I took it off to have my husband add a little nut in there to keep it secure. UPDATE: I initially posted here that it would not stick after we repaired it. But since found that I was missing a step... Of course my instructions were long gone. Just giving it 4 out of five because if one of the screw knobs comes out, there's a little part inside that falls out. So we had to rig something up ourselves. The overall it's been really hot this summer in the 90s and it's sticking.

Lasted one summer in Iowa. Saw the reviews for Texas, but apparently Iowa is too hit for the suction cup too. Sad, because otherwise it was a great mount.

I've had this for a couple months now and it's holding up pretty well; I live in the hottest part of the US and I've only had issues with the adhesion once so far, which is more impressive than it sounds. It's a little tricky to open and close at first since I had a previous one with an auto-open button, but this one is more difficult to pry open for your phone. However, that also means added security while you drive. I replaced my old one since there were multiple times when my phone would snap out of its place and land near my brake pedal: not safe at all. This one only needs your phone to be flush against the back area for it and then it's good to go, pretty much forever. That being said, it's also really easy to remove your phone if you pull at it from the side and slide it out. Overall, really nice construction. It doesn't look cheap, either, which means it doesn't look clunky or awkward in its current position (right in my center dashboard above the radio and hanging down into the air vents). That's what impresses me the most about it- the front windshield is completely clear with no obstructions, but it also stays at eye level so it's safer. When my passenger wants to watch a youtube video or something similar, it is especially helpful. 5/5 overall.

I didn't know if this would actually adhere to my dashboard since it's not totally smooth. I shouldn't have worried!I have struggled for years with using he GPS on my phone and trying to see what it was telling me without having to pick it up and rotate it around. I finally decided to get something to keep it on my dashboard where I could see it and not have to be constantly picking up my phone to see where I am and where I'm going.I have a Motorola Edge, and it's quite tall. When I first set it in this holder, it was distracting since it stood up so high, and I couldn't adjust the holder down any more than it already was. However, when I turned it to the side, I could still see the GPS. In fact, the fonts were larger, and it was easier to see.I should say that I have GPS in my car, but the yearly updates are almost $150, and it's still not as accurate as the one on my phone that has free updates! So, the phone GPS, and now this handy little gadget, have made my life much easier!

I had been browsing Amazon for a car phone holder for a while, and ended up picking this one because its design looked like it would work on my Scion xA's uniquely shaped dash. I needed a holder with good enough suction to hold my somewhat heavy phone + case, and a long enough appendage to put my phone within arms length despite having only certain spots to fasten it (see photos). It worked like a charm, after I read the instructions and realized each adjustment point needed to be tightened in order to keep the phone from flopping around. My only note is that the holder seems to be more designed for holding a phone with no case or a thin case, as the gripping parts are somewhat short. They do however, have grippy material on them, so even though I have a thicker, more "rugged" case, it grips to the grippy material on the outer edge of my case and holds it in place. This is probably only a concern if you have a very thick, "rugged" phone or case with no grip surface on it. Otherwise this will probably work for you. This phone holder has a generous amount of very sticky adhesive on it, so it's probably best to pick a spot and not move it around a bunch if you want the best hold. It looks like it would work just fine as a windshield mounted holder, but I have not tested it in that way.
