Value for money and good quality

Did the lockdown graduation nicely. It needed a good iron and I needed to research how to wear it, but it looked great.Very pleased

My daughter like many others did not manage to get a graduation ceremony due to the pandemic, so we brought her a gown and this hood from amazon. Its relatively well made, and my daughter loved it. Two small issues are that the colour didn’t quite match the picture, (we wanted purple, but the one that arrived was blue) and it was missing the button clip at the front to attach it to the clothes. But for making a graduation special its great and well made. My daughter gets to keep a reminder of her graduation.

The picture suggests thats you wear the hood with the black showing over the chest. all the videos show the colours sitting over the chest and im reliably informed thats how it should be worn. so as you can see from the picture, to wear this hood like that, the label is stitched to the most visible place. It doesnt matter what i do to it, i cant get it to sit without the label showing. this is for my daughters friend who graduated last year to celebrate with my daughter who graduated this year. my daughters hood has the label on the black and not on the colour. its a pity because the quality is good.perhaps i am hanging it incorrectly, if you know how you would conceal the label, this is a good colour, lovely material and good quality.

I pretty sure the item i received is been worn prior as it vame with 2 holes on sides and a mark on front.

I'm a bit puzzled to see so many reviews from the UK. As far as I have looked into things, all UK Universities have different colours and/or shapes for each degree they offer, and no two Universities have the same colours and shapes.... Just as an example, this hood seems to be not a million miles away from an Oxford MA, but that is also edged with the crimson silk lining; Oxford BA is black with white fur, as is the Cambridge BA but a different shape. Cambridge MA is the same overall shape as their BA, but in black and white silk. I wouldn't want to try wearing one of these Amazon hoods at any UK university's degree ceremony!
