Our grandson reads these books. He's 9. He absolutely loves the adventures and we can be sure there's nothing in there that a 9 year old shouldn't read, in fact, the opposite. They teach very good morals, which proves you do not have to have all the junk and bad language to create a good book. I have since sent 6 of them to a boy who has disciplinary problems and is getting special counceling in a special school. Much better than computer games and Wee don't you think? I just heard on the news that boys are way behind girls in reading, and I think computer games has a lot to do with this country's downward spiral. Not only that they don't read, but the content of those games is appalling. Some things never go out of style, like good basic jeans, these books are forever!

These are classic books for boys and girls alike. I read them many years ago and am now able to pass along the tradition to the children in my life. I am known as the "book auntie" and love to give gifts of the same books I enjoyed as a child.These books are clean with no elements that a parent has to worry about, which is rare in children's books these days. A good read with plenty of excitement should make anyone want to add these to their collection.

This series of books is a must have for any young boy! My sons read them faster than I can buy them. I would HIGHLY recommend these to any boy over the age of 9 or so. They are Christian books about a young group of boys that live near Sugar Creek. The books cover all their adventures and exploits as they learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!

This is an excellent series of books with great values and life adventures of a group of children growing up together and sharing all sorts of decision making values . I bought this entire series for my Grandchildren and set up "Grandma's Library" during one summer. I had read many of these books growing up and wanted them to experience them as well. I used Mason Jars to make "Reading Banks" and each time they finished a reading book during the summer they received some money. They had to save the money until the end of the summer and then got all of it at once (10% had to go to their Sunday School offering). They benefited from the messages in the books as well as learning how to earn, save and tithe.

Wonderful Christian books for Kids & Adults

My son loves these books! And my younger boys can't wait to read well enough to start reading 'em themselves. With so much junk out there today in the way of reading "entertainment" (especially for young boys), I was thrilled to come across these wonderful books. Not only are they wholesome and adventurous, but they are filled with examples of courage, biblical character, and true friendship. There is a girl in the "gang" so I suspect these books would also appeal to all those young ladies with a flair for adventure....

These books show so many good things of how children, especially boys need adventure with purpose. When the boys do good things, they are praised, but when they make bad choices, they are reprimanded. Wholesome friendship is developed with each other, loyalty to each other is for sure, and love for their families including moms and little sisters is shown. The description of each adventure is so good you feel you know each character and can visualize the situations they find themselves in. WONDERFUL reading for children who have an adventurous bent! Several things are accomplished when reading these books: reading skills are developed, building good character through the choices set before the boys, loyalty, and learning to love others even when they are not a cookie cutter of ourselves. Buy these books and the rest in the series, they are OUTSTANDING.

So great to see a new edition of this series. My nephew loved the Hardy Boys series and I bought this for him.
