Make skin care products at home
We are al concerned to some degree about the products we use on our skin. So, many people are making products at home. This book has all kinds of recipes for skincare. There are scrubs, lotions, massage oils, etc, basically anything for the skin. I liked that the author took care in addressing all skin types, like oily, combo, sensitive, etc. This ensures that every reader will find somethig that works for her. I do think this bok could use an editing eye. For example, one recipe says "need" instead of "neem." However, it does not distract too badly from the book.

So many Recipes!
This two in one book is gold if you're wanting to make some skin care products at home that are much more healthy for your body. The first book in the volume is about Body Butters and will explain what they are and tell the differences between a butter and a lotion. It also tells what ingredients to use to make some. I LOVED seeing Essential Oils listed, as I'm a bit advocate of using them for health purposes. There were then TONS of recipes. I loved the one for Cool Peppermint Body Butter and I loved all of them that used Coconut as it's one of my favorite scents. The next book is about Body Scrubs, and like the Body Butter part, it discussed the ingredients, but it also listed the tools you will need to start making your own. Again it lists essential oils and I was so happy! The recipes were just as numerous. I liked the mint chocolate one, and I liked that there was one for sore muscles and one that's anti-cellulite!

Skin care is Self care.
Taking care of your skin is important self care. There are so many different products out there for your skin, but not all are created equal. Not all will be for your skin.Knowing the best ingredients to help your skin thrive is a must. Creating your own skin care routine and products could help save you not only money, but give you the peace of mind of knowing what is going on your skin and into your body. This book is very helpful with all of that. Good information and advice.

Missed the mark
Disappointed.Lost of recipes. Needs an editor. From missing punctuation to run on sentences.I had to reread parts. It's a nice collection of recipes, however not stuff you would have around the house. Not "inexpensive".Can I just use cinnamon or vanilla? It touches on mixing oils and waters together, but doesn't explain well. Recipes don't use emulsifier or preservatives. Alone vera gel is a water and won't mix with coconut oil or butter. Verry common in this book. Also, needs a preservative with water or will go rancid.Overall- collection of a beginner's notes.A writer should write, revise, then revise again. More research needs to go into book, full of misleading information.

So many recipes
A great reference work with many, many recipes. Thorough descriptions of each ingredient and what it does and how it helps your skin. It makes sense that you would want to use organic ingredients so the toxins and chemicals do not get into your body through the skin. The ingredients are easy to acquire and the recipes are easy to do.

an ok resource
This book does a great job introducing and comparing different body products (lotions vs lotion bars, for example) as well as describing which ingredients are best to use. The recipes are simple to understand and follow. More pictures to see the colors would be nice.

It’s an ok book
The cover of the book is beautifully made, yes, wish I could say the same about the inside. It’ll be great if it was more detailed on ingredients, instructions, and had pictures, (colored pictures).
