Outdoor Edge Swingblaze Double Blade Hunting Knife with Rotating Skinning & Gutting Blades, Nylon Sheath, (Blaze Orange, SZ-20N)

My Dad bought one of these knives when they first came out with them. He always shared his knives with me and he refused to part with his first one of these. When he passed away it was the only thing of his I asked for. And it still is amazing. I have had the first one for over 10 years. So now I’m buying all my kids and siblings one of their own because you all need one of these knives. I have used it for butchering, cutting bailing twine, cutting hose for sprinkler systems cutting open bags everything you need a knife for I have used this for. My boys say they don’t leave home without it and they love it for dressing out a deer in the field. I love how easy the blades are to replace and how freaking sharp they are. Takes awhile to wear one of these blades out. Now after cutting sprinkler hose I did replace the blade. It’s a perfect knife for everything. If you haven’t bought one do it’s worth every penny. This one I bought for my avid hunting son in law for Christmas. I already know he will love it because he uses my daughters all the time.

I have an older version of this knife in black, back before there was an orange option. I have gutted well over 100 deer with that knife and have been very pleased with both its design and sharpness retention. I really wanted the orange one though, since back when they came out with it not long after I bought the black one. So much easier to see when laying it down on the ground. Finally decided to go ahead and waste the money and buy the orange version of something that I already had in black. This knife is almost exactly as the older version. The sheath is a bit longer, and the scales have a slight more texture, but other than that, pretty much the same. The blade is insanely sharp, as every Outdoor Edge blade that I've seen is. The AUS-8 blade has great edge retention, I have personally used it on 3 deer in one day without any mentionable dulling. Sharpens back up easily, and the gut hook is the best that I have used. Highly recommend.

Bought this knife for my grandson he loves to deer hunt. He said he just loves it. It works so good and very sharp.

I like the knife but it developed a chip in the blade somehow on the first use it is still extremely sharp so I'm still using it as it doesn't seem to affect it

Sharp from the factory. Steel is easy to maintain an edge, but not the best for holding an edge. I pried a deer tooth out with the blade (not the right tool for the job) and did get a knock on the edge, but was easy to sharpen back up to razor sharp. Great design on the gutting blade. Easy to switch one handed if you had to. The sheath leaves something to be desired jsut because it's cheesy, but it does the job. I'm considering probably spending more than the cost of knife plus factory sheath on a leather or kydex sheath. Multiple of the crew where I hunt had the same blade this year, so there were MANY deer field cleaned with the same tool and nobody had any issues.

Best hunting knife I have ever used. Came out of the package sharp, hit it with the diamond sharpener and not its razor sharp. I love the flip feature because your main blade stays sharp all the time. There is nothing worse then having a dull blade, this ensures your blade stays sharp because you cut under the hair. I use the flip side to do "rectum" work on animals too. It makes it super easy and doesn't puncture anything. I have used other flip blades from other companies and the worst part about them is how hard they are to clean. I told myself I would never buy another until a buddy showed me this knife. I dressed a deer with it, skinned it, quartered it in about 15 minutes. I said, "I have got to get me one of these!" Cleaning it is a breeze, after I use it I clean then sharpen then back in the sheath it goes. When I go in the woods this is the only knife I carry. It's not bulky, the sheath is great, and at the price I don't care if I ding it up or lose it. This is one of those products that you can see the features were designed by an experienced hunter who knows whats needed to get the job done.
