Perfect tool for hose Clamps on a BMW E60.
Needed a special tool to unclip hoses from the heater valve as they use a special hose clamp which you can't squeeze together using standard pliers. These done the job brilliantly and was able to remove the hoses and also reuse the clamps. The tool also has a lock so once you squeeze to make the clamp loose, it will hold it so you can remove the hose. Once you're ready to fit hoses back on, have it in place and release the lock to reclamp the hose. Good quality tool and highly recommended for your toolbox.

It works as it advertised
For the price build quality is good and it does the job. It is good for the medium size clamps but you could find hard to remove big ones. Other than that it is really good.

Useful tools. OK quality. Rating of the indivusal tools below
These work well enough, although infuriatingly the least effective is the remote long reach pair. The general material quality of the items is good, with the gripper part of the long reach pair being an exception to this. There are some individual complaints that I will list below: The simple straight pair (rating 7/10): I find these are the ones I use most often, they are suprisingly easy to use in most tight places so I dont often use the long reach ones. I wish these were sprung to the open condition like the cranked pair. I like the ratcheting feature, but the distance between the ratchet teeth is so big on this pair that it isnt as useful as it could be (especially for small hose clips - there can be a gap change of 10mm between teeth positions!). The cranked pair (rating 5/10): The ratchet teeth count is better on this pair, and I really like the addition of the spring to make them want to stay open - this aids operation. The additional width due to the crank does make them harder to use in tight spaces. The long reach pair (rating 3/10): The actuator on these is flimsy and not as secure as the round cups on the other two pairs. I havent yet found a situation where these were more useful than the simple straight pair, and they are certainly easier to fall off the clips. Overall a useful set, but if I were going to by the tools again I think I might only buy the straight pair (and probably look for some better quality ones with a sprung open action and better ratchet).
