Update to my original review below: My Amagabeli fireplace screen is still looking great. I'm updating my review because one thing I didn't consider when I purchased it was how easy it is to clean. I have the screen sitting on my fireplace hearth, which is made of slate and looks dusty five minutes after I clean it. But this fireplace screen never looks dusty, thanks to the color and the finish. When I do clean it, it is very easy to carry out to the patio where I brush it with a soft bristle dustpan brush. Since the screen is so sturdy and well made, it only takes a couple of minutes and it is as good as new. I am really glad I purchased this screen.Original Review in January 2016: I was impressed with the quality of this screen. It is sturdy but not too heavy to easily move. The height of the area that is mesh covered is 22.75 inches and the top part with the leaf design is 6.5 inches at its highest point, which is perfect for my fireplace. Each of the side panels is 12 inches across and the center screen is 26 inches across. My old fireplace screen had mesh all the way to the top, so it was harder to pick up and move. With this screen, you can grab the top piece and move it easily. The product name says it is black but the product description says it is antique silver. It looks more black to me but when the sun shines on it (particularly the leaves), you do see the dark silver finish. The leaf design and scroll work were nicely done and not flimsy. I am glad I bought this screen, it is higher quality than screens I saw in discount stores and the price was better.I was also very impressed with the seller. The day the screen was scheduled for delivery, I received an email from Amagabeli asking me to confirm that I received the screen in good condition and to let them know if I was not satisfied. I appreciated this level of customer service.

My Grandparents whom I live with wanted to purchase this to keep our kitten Marilla out of the Gas Fireplace as she previously went in and burnt some hair on her tail from the Pilot Light, luckily no skin!After receiving it, we were actually very pleased with it! It fits/surrounds the fireplace perfectly, is sturdy, has never fallen down, very easy to move when you need access to the fireplace, the metal mesh in front and surrounding the entire piece hasn't melted, it's good quality and the design of it is simple but yet very complimenting. So not only has it been great in regards of Pet Safety as Marilla has never attempted to knock it over or jump over it, she just enjoys laying in front of it when the fire's on to stay nice and cozy, but it's made a simple fireplace look absolutely lovely! We've had this Fireplace Screen for at least a year so far with no complaints. I'd definitely recommend it!

...almost black...a very rich pewter color.. Sturdy, easy to open and close, and a reasonable price. (we use it for a doggie gate)

This does what it's supposed to do. We bought this to go in front of our pellet stove and slow down a fall by one of our children if they were to trip and fall into the stove which they have and they have been prevented from getting burned. Impressively the backside nearest the fire gets hot but the frontside stays cool enough not to burn anyone even if the kids lean up against it. It is aesthetically pleasing to look at it as well. My only problem with it is that it's not even across the bottom so one side always wants to swing shut but it's not the end of the world.

I'm using this as a puppy gate for my chihuahua. She's less than 2 pounds so this works perfectly. Don't think that I would use this if she were much bigger. Definitely would not use as a child gate. But...little less expensive and much more stylish than a child gate. Love Love it

well made. i needed something small and couldnt find the right size or fit. with this unit, i was able to only use part of it and it worked out perfect to place in front of the door on my fireplace while its open, stopping the popping embers from escaping onto the floor.

The fireplace screen arrived boxed and as a single unit with two “wings” attached. All you have to do is take the screen out of the box andopen the two two wings (which are attached to the centerpiece) to fit your fireplace opening— super simple! No tools, no assembly required — just open the box and set it up. The screen adds a nice depth to the face of the fireplace and “disappears” when you start a fire. This screen is a great bargain for the price and was listed on one website as a top ten item based upon quality of workmanship, appearance and price. I believe it has ea4ned that distinction across the board.
