Very good replacement Garage keypad. Easy to install and get set up. Nice product.

This worked flawlessly with my older Overhead Legacy 696 CD/B garage door opener. I simply followed the directions on the keypad device with zero connectivity issues. My older model took a 9V battery which left the cords to the connector inside vulnerable to damage and rot over time, which was why I had to replace it. I like that this is a simple two AAA situation, they problem won’t happen again. The backlighting is nice as well because it gives responsiveness to keystrokes.

Paired to a Legacy 850 Garage Door opener, so same brand. Used to replace an identical unit I had installed ~5.5 years ago. First unit worked well for about 5 years, then it started it burning through batteries faster and faster. (the backlight would stay on for over a minute instead of 10 or 15 seconds....so maybe electronics went wacky). Got to the point I was putting in two batteries every week or two (vs. starting out at ~10 months for battery changes for the first 5 years). I do believe the weather finally got to it, even though it is under protruding roof cover from straight down rain, but not from wind blown rain. There was corrosion and the keypad was getting "sticky". Install and programming were easy as I have installed a few for neighbors. I did see some cheaper options (30-50% of the cost), but wasn't sure how well they would work, or even if I could get them programmed to work. I just installed it and it's working fine. The price is a tad high, and wish it was re-engineered to be a bit more weather resistant. I hope it lasts 5 years (or longer).

I had issues installing this wireless keypad. Apparently, the instructions for this model has changed as there is conflicting information on line with a completely different method of programing. This created a problem for the support person and me as we tried various ways of getting the unit programed to function with my 20-year old Legacy 696CD/B motor unit. Follow the directions with the wireless keypad but ALSO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF YOUR OPENER. We discovered that the keypad has to be at least 5 feet or more AWAY from the opener's antenna or it creates errors (the source of my difficulty) in our Legacy 696CD. Here I was, standing on a ladder with the keypad right next to the opener. No wonder... Once I understood the distance issue was causing the problem, programming was a slam-dunk...following the directions that are in the box with the keypad, NOT conflicting on-line directions for this model. This unit is wonderful! The back-lighting of the keypad makes use after dark a snap. Additional thoughts and observations after several months of use: I saw a review by someone claiming the batteries only last a month. We have not had that issue. No doubt that person's unit has a problem. For us, this has really been a dependable device. We wish now that we had done this years ago. The convenience of being able to access the garage without having to go through the house is worth the price of this very dependable keypad remote. I especially like the back lighting.

Very simple to connect! I used the universal ones before and had so many problems that I eventually gave up. However, after checking the manufacturer’s website and seeing this, I figured I’d give it a shot. It connected immediately, and after a week, it’s still working flawlessly. I highly recommend this item instead of dealing with the universal ones—especially since it costs about the same.

This garage door opener meets all my expectations. It has a sleek white color, is easy to mount, includes all necessary parts, and is simple to program. As a standard rolling code opener, it should work well as long as your garage door can be programmed in this manner (learning mode rather than dipswitches). I replaced an old opener that lasted about 8 years, which was starting to fade in color. While I suspect this new one might also fade over time, it’s a solid unit overall. I would definitely recommend it.
