Quality better than expected, colors better than professional sets
I have some very expensive skin tone art supply sets and the colors are not as good as these. For the price and amount of markers these are amazing. They work really well on high qualify watercolor or mixed media paper, you can even somehow layer them or combine with colored pencils. I know they are made for kids but as an artist I actually use them for journaling and doodling. I'm so glad that kids no longer need to color themselves pink, yellow and a brown that doesn't match, these cover a large range of shades.

Nice range of tones
Love the range and skin tones! These markers are a nice addition and make coloring so fun! My students love finding markers that match their exact skin tone!

Diverse skin tone options!
These Colors Of The World markers offer so many more shades for drawing & coloring skin tones. I’m so grateful for a diverse range of options.I swatched all of them and will say that:1.) the five palest options are difficult for me to distinguish where I’ve marked on on white card stock and to differentiate from each other. I could see this being frustrating for a young child, who may think the marker isn’t working. Obviously saturating the color more defeats the purpose of these lightest tones, so I understand why they’re so light. I think there could’ve maybe been 1-2 instead of 5.2.) there seems to be a pretty big jump between medium to medium-deep tones and I see an opportunity to diversify the deeper tones. I’m definitely not upset about this; having these skin tones is still a HUGE improvement from what’s previously been available as washable markers so I’m still elated with this purchase.

The colors are neutral and beautiful
I literally love this marker pack. I always buy new crayola products and when I saw this Colors of the World set I knew I had to buy it. It was totally worth it. Here is a coloring page I used them on. The shades are great for coloring skin tones and also other natural elements!

The markers I never knew I needed!
I’d seen these around a time or two and just kind of shrugged them off until time for me to work on some illustrations of cartoon people. I wish these markers had been around when I was a kid! “Flesh tone” options from my childhood marker box were quite limited and unrealistic. There are so many options in this pack that made my cartoon people look more like… well… people! Good on ya, Crayola! This pack is a good addition for any artsy kid’s (or adult’s) collection!

Great color selection
My kid has been using markers nonstop for her art, and was mainly drawing dogs or humans so she needed more color range in fur/skin tones. This marker pack fit the bill! They are not labeled as washable, but I think I prefer it actually. The markers still come off of skin, but don’t bleed on paper like washable ones do when coloring with marker over marker. The one flaw with this set is that some of the markers (usually the light colored ones) can make holes in the paper if you color in one spot too long. It almost feels like the color payoff isn’t that good on some, or it’s kind of dry, so you have to go over the same spot multiple times to get an even look. Still very worth it for us and we’ll buy again if/when we run out.

Fun, educational!
I teach art for grades pre-K through 8 and used these for several self portrait projects. Students went through the colors trying to match their hair, skin and eye colors. It was great watching the kids move away from preconceptions and into perceptive artistic analysis as they worked!
