Can the RGB be controlled without using corsair software?

ICue is required for other programs to sync the ram RGB. I have an Asus X570 and I can control the ram with Aura, but iCue has to be installed and set to allow full control from a 3rd party program..

Yes, it will bring you up to 64gb, However, it is with my experience best to buy a 64GB set, this ensures your RAM matches up with one another. I have bought 32GB and bought another 32GB at a later time. Even though, my new RAM was of the same make and model and were accurately identified and recognized both in BIOS and Windows they did not play well so to speak. I began to have corrupted data files/program errors etc. RAM diagnostics verified my suspicions that RAM was at fault. Both 32GB pairs tested fine as individual pairs, but when I ran both pairs at the same time as 64GB, errors would occur when running diagnostics. Like I said previously, they just didn't play well together. I'm now just running 32GB and keeping the other 32GB on hand as a backup. I intend to buy a 64GB set in the future.

well the xmp setting didn't work outta the box for me. So i had to manually tune it instead thanx intel..plus the minimum brightness on the led 3 or 5 before completely turning off from a range of 255 so there's that.

Remember it's normal

If it comes in broken the first time, return and replace and it should be fine. Completely normal for RAM to break during shipping, just need to wait for the good quality one from returns and keep returning. Worth it once you get it.

Works great, but regret getting RGB

Got for my prebuilt pc that only had 8 gigs of RAM. They're great quality, my performance has been so much better since I got these. The only issue I have is that you can't turn off the RGB, they're very bright and flashy, so it can get a little irritating.
