TICONN Red 200PCS Heat Shrink Butt Wire Connector Kit, Insulated Waterproof Electrical Marine Automotive Wire Crimp Terminals Butt Splice (Red200PCS)

I have purchased several Butt Connectors from various sources only to find that after crimping the connector, I was able to pull the wire out with minimal effort. After seeing some good review on the TICONN Heat Shrink Butt Connectors I thought I would try them. I was not focused on the Heat Shrink feature as much as I wanted a connector that would be strong. I tested these connectors and found that when I crimped my wire in the connector I got a very tight crimp. I was not able to pulled the wire from the connector or twist it in the connector. Thanks for a quality product.

Using notch for insulated connectors on Klein crimping and cutting tool for connectors (1005) and Klein-Kurve® Wire Stripper / Crimper / Cutter Multi Tool (1019) yields a crimp that easily pulls apart. using the 16-22 red notch on klein Ratcheting Crimper, 10-22 AWG - Insulated Terminals (3005CR) yields a crimp that cant be pulled apart but really digs into the insulation to the point is seems to get down to the inner glue layer. results with all these tools on tyco duraseal connectors tested with same tools and conditions yields excellent results. ordered TICONN Crimping Tool for Heat Shrink Connectors (30J) works much better would recommend getting this tool or another pair of single crimp racheting crimpers as the crimpers build into many pliers don't seem to make a good crimp and the double crimp ratcheting crimpers displace a little to much insulation for my liking.

The media could not be loaded.  I was able to heat-seal a few of these successfully with a lighter. The results weren't pretty but they did seem to keep wires spliced.Then I discovered the  6.56FT Long Heat Gun . Clever name aside, it is inexpensive, conveniently sized, and doesn't cost much. In particular it's great for these connectors!Anyway, these work with matches or a lighter, sort of. However to get great results get even an inexpensive heat gun.

After reading the reviews , I convinced myself that this wasn’t just another poor quality product.It is, I can only assume the good reviews are by users who haven’t tested the joint properly.The metal used to be squashed and crimped is simply not correct , the red ones will pull apart after crimping , strangely the blue ones have better holding power but only slightly.If you buy these test the strength of the wire you crimp, don’t rely on the shrink process as this will not hold the joint together .The fact is that multiple manufacturers are using the wrong type of metal in these Chinese mad connectors , whereas those you buy from the electrical wholesalers seems to work fine , a lot more expensive but they actually do what they should

These connectors have made my life so much easier while working on car audio. Outstanding quality and great crimp grip. I wish I had discovered these much sooner and saved a lot of headaches for myself during installations. Buy with confidence.

I am doing my own alarm and radio installation and these are perfect. I bought the crimping tool and and used my hear gun to melt and shrunk the tubes. They work like a charm.. Great.

I needed a blue connector for a wire harness for a truck climate control module. These worked perfect to meet up the 14gauge and 18gauge wires (I didn't need to double up the 18 on my vehicle, they were too big when I tried that). I used a small heat gun to melt the shrink tubing and I did see glue come out the ends when it was finished. I don't know if they'd be perfect for marine use, but they looked good. If I had a boat I'd probably over engineer it and use a 3:1 adhesive heat shrink over the top of these to be 100% certain. But they worked perfect. I used a Titan crimper with teeth for an insulated butt connector.

I only needed this quantity. It's nice to have a company that doesn't require to buy an entire shop's worth to get what you need. A+++ Easy to use and easy to strip if you need to customize your use of these and just need the barrel connection for really tight spaces.. (Using your own heat shrink if need be, etc..).
