Q: Are there pestisides or chemicals used to make this or the cane which it came from? I don't care if its certified organic, only that it is organic.

The Prop 65 warning is likely due to the soils in which the cane is grown. Very common for plants to pull heavy metals from soils. Buying organic is not a guarantee against metals. Advice: always have a detox plan for heavy metals. Foods grown in India and China are especially problematic.

Q: Does this item need to be stored in the fridge ?

No it does not. It's quite viscous in the cooler months. In summer it flows very well. I keep it on my kitchen table. It will soon be cool again so putting in the fridge will make it flow extra slowly. Hope this helps.
