Great for dayhiking!
This was exactly what I was looking for to day hike. I bought the Gregory 3L 3D Hydro reservoir to go with it. I took it to REI and they adjusted the size for me and it was so comfortable while I hiked. The guy there said the weight should be mostly on your hips, so to check if you have it in the right spot, after it's all tightened up, release the belt strap and you should feel the weight go to your shoulders. Keeping the weight on your hips is the goal. I love the color and it's very roomy.
