Very effective with dog hair. Mopping is decent.
Absolutely the best purchase I have made in the last several years. We have two kids and a Golden Retriever who sheds incessantly. We have laminate floors and carpet, and this does a great job for both. The navigation is fairly effective and we never notice missed spots. It picks up ALL the dog fur and dirt/grass/small yard debris, leaving the laminate floors a pleasure to walk on barefoot. It finishes with a pass around the perimeter, which is 99.8% effective. Of course because of its round shape, it won't get all the dust in the very corners, but the suction is strong enough to pull all the dog fur out of the corners, leaving next to nothing. The mopping is fairly decent. Obviously mopping by hand with a little elbow grease is going to do a much better job than any robot, but this is effective enough to clean up basic stains (spilled juice, dog footprints, etc).Regarding noise level, it's easy enough to find other reviews the measure exact decibels. There are four noise modes. If I'm on a call, I will keep it on the balanced setting, otherwise always have it on turbo for the most effective cleaning.I have run this thing probably three times a day (three floors in our house) for the last month+ and have had no issues. It has found its way back to the dock 100% of the time, even in kind of tight spaces. A couple times it has gotten stuck in areas that I have learned to block off - mostly cords that weren't tucked away. My fault. The OCD side of me loves the straight lines it leaves in the carpet afterwards. Like a perfectly mown lawn. The app is fine. I use it main for checking remaining battery % and to change the setting (max, turbo, balanced and "silent", which means "quiet"... not "silent"). It reminds me when it's time for maintenance. Maintenance schedules it recommends are:Filter - wash every two weeks (very easy) and replace after every 150 hours of useSide brush - Replace after 200 hours of useMain brush - Replace every 300 hours of useSensors - Clean them every 30 hours of use (easy)The dustbin is easy enough to clean out. The filter can easily be rinsed and left to dry (I give it about an hour or two in the sun). Leaving the carpet unvacuumed for a couple days results in a disgusting amount of dust and dog fur collected. Shocking, actually. So occasionally I'll have to empty it mid-run. Maybe kind of a pain if you're away from home, but it's pandemic times here (depending on whom you ask) and we're home pretty regularly. And now with consistently clean floors that are so nice to walk on barefoot. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase.

A great device if you don't use the app
Let me start off by saying there are probably better robot vacuums out there, but I have to admit for the cost I'm impressed with this one. Also, I don't have hardwood floors so I can't rate the mop function, but I do have cats and thick plush carpet. While I doubt I'd use it as a permanent replacement it's been a great asset in making me feel like I'm a responsible adult in-between whenever I can actually vacuum. It's less noisy than a window air conditioner, it could navigate it's way around and back to it's dock without too much struggle, and picked up the usual litter and cat hair with relative ease. My only non-app based complaint is that the dust bin isn't the easiest to empty out. Then there's the app.So, it DOES work with Alexa but it's a battle as there's two different apps for this: Mihome is for your phone, but it looks like Alexa syncs with the Roborock app...which isn't compatible with this model. So you have to install both and kinda tinker around with it till it clicks. The Mihome app for your phone is pretty worthless, honestly. But I have a small, simple living space and once I got Alexa to activate it with the command "Release the Kraken" I didn't need much else from the app. Finally; the cats aren't afraid of it but they haven't tried riding it, either. I will provide an update on it's longevity should it become a noble steed for the felines.

Can't believe I lived without this machine!
When I first opened the box & looked this robot over I was very skeptical...it looked very similar to my Roomba - it would be getting stuck every night in the exact same spots. The dust bin looked like I'll never be able to get all of the dirt out because of the lip. The mop attachment is so small I figured I would be spending my day refilling it. BUT!!! I wouldn't trade this machine for anything! It doesn't get stuck everywhere like my Roomba did (I have 4 spots on my main level that really trips up the robots). If it does get stuck it remembers not to get that close so it doesn't get stuck again. AND the mop has enough water in 1 trip to clean the entire floor, which consists of a large living room, a large kitchen/dining room, a full bathroom & a hallway! AND I can get all of the dirt put of the dustbin....the dustbin is located in the middle of the machine & you access it by opening the lid. It is super easy and CLEAN to remove it for emptying. I just tap the bin on the side of my garbage can & 99% of the dirt comes out! The Roomba dust bin design is horrible! Leaves dirt all over the floor underneath it.This machine does vacuum & mop all at the same time! Love it!I have it vacuum every night because everyone in my family works construction plus we have a dog, a cat & a hairy guinea pig plus outside animals = A LOT of dirt, hair & grass! And then I will add the mop attachment & start it when I leave for work about 2-3x/week. It comes with a plastic floor protector so with that I can let the machine sit until I get home & not worry about my floor getting ruined.Oh! AND it is really quiet! Especially compared to the Roomba but yet has a powerful enough suction to pick up things that my Roomba wouldn't...such as plant pieces that have fallen on the floor & dog food pieces. I don't need to leave the room to talk on the phone when it's running anymore!Would truly recommend this vacuum and I'm not being paid to say that. It is stars above every Roomba I have ever had!
