Extraordinarily nice sock. Wool socks can be scratchy or otherwise not so nice to wear. These are thick, and do expand after washing. Excellent craftsmanship and comfort while wearing boots on the job. They appear to shrink a touch after washing but they do stretch back and don’t lose their shape of structure. No touchiness. A nice buy. So much so, I purchased a second package of them.

This is from the perspective of someone lives in a tropical island. I have no need for socks like these in my in my daily life. I bought these for a trip to Costa Rica, to keep my feet dry and comfy inside the boots I bought for the trip. I wear size 10.5 - 11 boots.-Excellent fit- At first these socks seem sort of long, but when you stretch them around your feet, they change their shape into the proper form. All you will feel is the plush sock surrounding your feet. If you have problems with blisters or anything like that, these socks might be a life saver. They are nice and thick, and instantly make any shoe better by standing like a super hero between you any uncomfortable contact points your shows may have.To my surprise, these socks don't feel too warm. They seem to insulate your feet very effectively, which means your feet will feel nice and warm in cold weather, and cool and dry in hot weather. It's weird, but that has been my experience with these.I'll update this review after my trip, if anything changes. Shouldn't be too cold in Costa Rica, but the altitude of some of the places I will visit means I'll probably experience low temperatures in the high fifties, which will give me an impression of what these are like in colder weather.
