Fit my silkie rooster without issues
I had the unexpected chick turn out to be a rooster, mine is a silkie and loves to do the usual amount of crowing at seemingly the wrong times. I put it on initially with one finger worth of space, after a couple days I went back to adjust it and it does wonders to nullify the loud crows. Its not 100% muted but it comes out sounding more like a "struggled gurgle" and I don't get complaints from my neighbors about it. He did take a good hour to adjust to how it felt on his neck, walked around a bit goofy trying to scratch it off but he's fine with it now.

Cheap for a reason!
I was looking for a product to keep my roosters from being too loud. This item is cheaply made. It's literally just a velcro strap. I put it around my roosters neck like it should, with enough space not to injure or suffocate it and 10min later I went to check my rooster tightend it trying to get it off and it almost suffocated its face was all red and looked swollen. I immediately took it off, and it went back to normal. Never again! I recommend looking elsewhere.

still very loud
did not work, did not even make the rooster think twice, did not decrease the sound of his crow. Plus side is the Velcro is really good Velcro and does not easily come apart, Will use remainder for cords

The other reviewers did not put them on tight enough.
These things work. The whole purpose of these is to make it uncomfortable for them to crow. If you do not put them tight enough they will in fact do nothing, and they will be able to peck at them and destroy them.What I did was put them on my two silkies, then played a rooster crow sound off my phone triggering them to want to respond. I would then make an adjustment until it was visibly and audibly uncomfortable for them to crow. I then stayed out with them for a while ensuring they were still able to breath, eat, and drink normally. After a while they gave up on trying to get them off and just accepted that they were there.I made another adjustment the following day as they were both able to get out a full crow again although it was very quiet. I then sat with them for a while again to ensure they could eat drink and breath normally.After a few days they've seemed to give up on even attempting to crow. I'll take the collars off here in a few more days and see how it goes.All in all these things can work, you just have to put them on properly and be willing to put in some time getting it right. Because if they aren't tight enough they do nothing, if they're too tight you have a dead rooster. Good luck.

Don't waste your money
doesn't work. Didn't hurt the rooster, as soon as I caught him and fought it on he crowed. It is also a pain to get it on. You need two people.;

IT WORKS! Put on loose first and gradually adjust the collar.
I bought Lavender Orpington roosters (now they are big boys). I did research for a quiet and calm rooster breed and it showed and said "Lavender Orpington" roosters are one of the quietest breeds and they rarely crow and when they do crow, it's not very loud. NOPE...NOT TRUE! I put the No Crow Rooster Collar on loose and adjusted gradually. And then I made sure my boys were eating good and taking of his hens. I did not know if these collars would work and I had my doubts because of reviews. I took a chance. One rooster crows a bit but does it once in awhile and it's low. Happy with these collars.
