My Maytag model mvwx655dw1 stopped working in the middle of washing a load. Put it in diag mode, was setting code F7 E5 for optic sensor/shift actuator. Figured I would give this a try. Installed new part, cleared code, and washer is back working. Very easy to replace, tilt washer up to get to bottom. Remove belt guard, then two screws to change out actuator.

Good Match
Met the specs of the original. Some people complained in other aftermarket products that electrical wasn't a match. I compared this with the electrical on the OE part and it matched. Pleased with the product.

Easy to install. Lasts almost exactly one year.
It's great that this is so easy to install and is fairly inexpensive, because it works for almost exactly one year before breaking. I've purchased this part three times:-Sept 21, 2021-Oct 22, 2022-Oct 5, 2023The factory part worked for one year as well. I'm super impressed with the engineering that must go into designing something that is so reliably unreliable. Four stars for this genius design.

Good for a month
Delivered August 9, 2024 and installed with no issues. Worked great for approximately 8 loads of laundry too. However, on September 16, 2024, it went kaput...conveniently 8 days after the return by date.

Easy Install!
Have a Whirlpool WTW4815EWO model. Diag code said issue was actuator. Order this and fixed problem. There are many cheap actuators from China but felt better getting one from Germany. Hope it lasts. For DIYers look at video on YouTube for checking issues on washer like mine. Many are simple fixes you can do. Timely delivery and fair pricing.

Fix My Lack of Agitation Problem
I had noticed a change in the sound of my Whirlpool Clothes washer during the agitation cycle. The sound wasn't loud but it definitely lead me to investigate. I bypassed the lid lock-out feature of the washer by inserting a plastic in the slot at the front of the washer where the lid trips the switch to allow the agitator to function. The agitator was moving very slightly instead of a normal CW/CCW agitation.I ordered this actuator and followed the easy directions. Pay attention to the way it comes off the machine and you should have no problem. There are numerous videos that show you the steps in replacing this device. Web search: "whirlpool agitator actuator" and you'll see them. Once again, I am my wife's hero and we have cleaner clothes.
