I bought this book because it said I could download the drawings (I'm a teacher) if I went to the link in the back of the book and it would give me a password. The link says it is now a tatoo website? I have many Haeckel books but I wanted to download the drawings for my phytoplankton lesson.

Bought this book but the download does not work - is not what is promised in the description. Vault Editions have removed the download from their site.

Quality is terrible, both the paper and the electronic images.

It is purely a print out. Do not buy. Horrible quality.

I got this book for an art project and absolutely love the images, they are intricate and varied. I love that that are all creatures found on earth, but many look like strange alien creatures, perfect if you want to use them in 'otherworldly' paintings.

Media is available publicly on Wikimedia, in much higher resolution. This cancels out the benefit of downloads. Printed book as well is low quality, with high shadows, low highlights and contrast.

Beautiful. Downloadable prints are a big plus.
