Had been using a haphazard set of mismatched, dull knives that I was incorrectly storing in a drawer. Decided to finally pull the trigger on this set of knives after an old dull knife slipped through cutting a bell pepper and caused the poor vegetable to catapult halfway across the room. The knife also slid across my finger, but luckily it was so dull I barely got a scratch.Well, this knife set arrived and I gotta say, what an upgrade. Love the completeness of the variety of blades that comes in this set, good for cutting meats, veggies, fish, taters, and for defending the house, in a pinch. The wood block they come with seems very chic and sturdy, and I appreciate the inclusion of the sharpening steel and the food scissors.These knives cut through bell peppers like butter. Which translates to less errant meat scraps falling to my dog and more even cuts for any food prep task. I’m so grateful!There’s also a helpful guide in the box with some basic details on knife care, from which I learned that keeping my old knives in the cupboard and running them through the dishwasher may not have been great ideas.Oh well. She gone! (My old dull knives, I mean)Looking forward to seeing how long this set lasts. So far, I’m pleased with my purchase.

We love our new Henckels Knife set!! There's a nice selection of knives and they are very sharp!!! We have noticed one thing that is concerning. When you wash the knives by hand and they are left to dry they form a water stain/rust spot. We have started drying them immediately after washing with hopes to eliminate this issue. Otherwise, we highly recommend this nice set of knives.

This is a complete set. Great value, excellent cutting g ability, nice grip to the handles and a good weight. This is a large set and functions as promised! They are very sharp so use caution when cutting. They are a beautiful set. I would absolutely recommend this set. This is my second set as I had purchased these as a gift for a family member then decided I liked them so much I decided to buy myself a set as well.

Can't go wrong here. High quality cutlery. Built to last. I use a work sharp too key my knives honed, but the sharpener that comes with it is great. Definitely heirloom quality as well. Grips look great and speak quality just like the steel itself

These knives have been an amazing addition to my kitchen. They are full tang, and the steel used is good quality. They hold an edge pretty well, I would say second or third to Victorinox in quality. The handles fit in the hand wonderfully. I'm not a fan of the honing steel, but that's minimal. Anyone who knows how to care for a knife will be able to hone them comfortably, no matter the steel used.
