Q: Which is newer/better: Zwilling J.A. Henkels "Spirit" Thermolon OR Zwilling J.A. Henkels Steel-Clad Cera-Force cookware?

The Cera-force pan is oven safe up to 500 degrees; the Thermolon only to 400 degrees. The Cera-force is extremely non-stick. I don't know about the Thermolon.

Q: Is the coating, which almost immediately chipped off, toxic? When the coating is off, is the pan still safe to use?

I don't know if it would be toxic. I have had mine for at least 4 years, and the coating is chipped all over. Never used metal utensils, always hand washed, and stored with towels in between.

Q: Where are these pans manufactured?

My pan is stamped made in China.

Q: does it work on induction cooktop?

Yes it works very well on induction, and was one of th main reasons I bought this pan.
