Well made case for retropi with SSD
The case is well made, solid and everything fits together well (Pi 4). I had Retropi running with an SSD in a basic case, which left the SSD drive "dangling", this case bundles everything up nicely and the SSD can be swapped out without having to take everything apart. The price is good if you consider you're getting an SSD (HD) controller included and power supply, etc.I did have a few issues, and hopefully this will help others get to it more quickly. I couldn't find a way to get support via the web site (no support email address or support form) which I recommend that they add to improve communication. I was however, able to contact support via the Amazon contact vendor process. But since this process masks email addresses and doesn't allow attachments, etc. contact was clumsy. (I have to give 5 stars to Shirley at GAMEROOM, she made outstanding efforts to contact/resolve the issues, in the end because of her the problems all got resolved). There was a card included with the product that gave an email address at foxmail for support, however, I didn't get any response from this address for days, not sure what's up with that. The biggest tech problem I had was that the drive controller was not working properly with the usb v3 ports on the Pi, it took 6+ minutes to load Retropi, whereas with an external controller it took ~40 seconds. So there was an obvious issue, I found that if I plugged the controller into the usb v2 port, it would load in ~50 seconds.Shirley (mentioned above) got retroflag to post a Firmware update on their website, so if you have this problem, go to the web site and click the NESPi4 image, scroll down to the SSD section and there is where I found the link to download the firmware update. The instructions are rough but basically you plug the NESPi4 HD controller into a usb port on your computer (mine is windows based), then run the exe included and select the firmware version, and click the button to flash the update. This made the load time ~35 seconds. There is an update to the command load text file, which I added but don't know if it made any difference.Another reviewer stated that the 2.4 ghz wireless didn't work after the case was assembled, I didn't notice a problem, but my wireless station is close. However, the instructions note that 2.4G WiFi might be affected, so they recommend using a 5G WiFi connection. Finally about the safe shutdown, it works, but what it does is initiate a shutdown/reboot, and when the system reboots about 3-5 seconds after it starts, it does the actual final turn off of power (i.e. pi is off and fan is off). So need to be a little patient for the shutdown.Overall the product is outstanding for the price, and the support tried it's absolute hardest to get me the info I needed, a big thanks! It is a do it yourself project so a little patience is needed, and since it's such a new product a firmware update is no biggie in my opinion.

The best case for retro gaming
This case is one of the best if not the best for retrogaming purposes on the Raspberry Pi 4. Everything is great, the materials, the design, the details. It took me some time to accomodate the Pi inside due to the cables connected slightly push the Pi on the oposite direction that you need to push it in order to set it place. Other than that, everything went smoothly. Don't forget to turn to on the safe shutdown switch before closing it. I would have liked a more enviromental friendly packaging because everything comes in it's own plastic bag and stuff.

Good case
I received this on time and in great condition. It was simple to assemble and get working with my raspberry pi 4. The case does get warm as I believe the cooling is not the best - I may end up either changing out the fan or creating more vent holes. The heat issue is greater when using an SSD in the cartridge case. While this is a fantastic addition to the setup and allows an SSD to be added for more games, it does lessen the air flow of the system.

Cool looking and easy to install, boot from ssd doesn't work for me
For the most part this was a great little gadget! A little on the expensive side (40 bucks! About as much as the raspberry pi itself! ) but I appreciate the thought and care that went into the design. Here are my thoughts:Pros:-Love that the cartridge fits an SSD and isn't just for aesthetics but is functional too. I saw someone on YouTube spray paint theirs gold. Very cool.-easy to assemble, just follow the included instructions or watch a YouTube video. There are several tutorials.-looks super cool!-compact, doesn't take up too much space-two front facing USB plugs are great for controllers-power and reset buttons work great and were easy to install-sturdy strong plastic casing and secure pieces-includes a handy screw driver!-can transfer game rom files from computer via network connection so I never have to remove the storage devices from the machine. Not really something the designers invented but just a tip for others who are using this as a retropie.Cons:-a little on the expensive side. I think this should have cost 30-35 dollars given other plastic cases are around 20-30 dollars.-some of the pieces are really tight fitting and if you have fat fingers assembly is going to be a bit of a pickle. But I don't have fat fingers and it was still tough to twist some wires and shove connectors into their appropriate places.-installing the script for boot from ssd was a pain. It never worked for me so I'm just going to continue to use my microsd card. Maybe I'll sit down again one day and try to figure it out but for now the microsd works fine.Over all very happy with this product, still some kinks to figure out but they're minor and the device works great!

The Perfect Pi Case
I used this case to overclock a Raspberry Pi 4 running RetroPie with Emulation Station. The power supply is ample and the extra fans and heat sinks keep the CPU/GPU cool. I am able to play N64 games without any lag or issue (which I could not do without overclocking). The safe shutdown feature is a nice bonus, as is the SATA drive attachment (which I haven't used yet). The only complaint is that my bluetooth devices seem to have a very limited range, though I'm not sure if that is due to this case or just the Pi 4 in general.
