Wow!!! So in love with Ashton
I will admit this is a long book, but by being long, we got the whole story and didn't have to wait for a second book :-). So, that made it so worth it!!!Anna was sixteen years old when she witnessed her boyfriend being murdered by Carter, a drug and gun dealer who then kidnapped her for approximately ten months. He is raided and arrested and Anna is found. She is now nineteen years old and in college. She doesn't speak much and hates to be touched. The whole experience left her terribly damaged. Her dad is an important senator who is running for President. Unbeknownst to Anna, Carter has been sending her letters from jail every week for the last three years and now her parents are getting death threats as well, and Carter's case is coming up for appeal.Ashton has just graduated at the top of his class in the SWAT program and has been hand picked by Anna's dad to serve as her pretend live-in boyfriend/bodyguard and protect her. She doesn't like having a bodyguard and has gone through over twenty in the last three years. Ashton is the first bodyguard to also act as a boyfriend and her dad hopes it will help keep other guys away from her. The minute Anna and Ashton meet they are attracted to each other. She tries to blow him off like all the others, assuming he will leave her, but Ashton has been promised his pick of jobs after the eight month period he is supposed to protect her, so he is determined to stay and make it work. He suggests that they talk and hold hands to get to know each other so playing boyfriend and girlfriend will be more believable when she goes back to college. For some reason, Anna discovers that when Ashton touches her she actually feels safe. When she has nightmares, just him being in the room with her seems to settle her and help her sleep. Ashton realizes immediately he will do whatever to make her and keep her safe. Because she dad insists she not be told about the letters or threats, he'll have to be careful in making sure she doesn't leave or go anywhere without him or her other guards. Anna and Ashton soon form a comfortable friendship and you find yourself pulling for them to find happiness. They touch and kiss and are very convincing as a couple. The problem is, Anna feels responsible for her ex, Jack's murder since it was on her birthday and she was why they were at the bar at the first place. She feels guilty feeling anything for Ashton because she thinks she is cheating on Jack's memory. Anna will break your her heart with her nightmares which relive some of the horrors she went through with Carter.Ashton is just WOW!!! He is one of the best book boyfriends out there. Tall, dark, sexy, protective, considerate, loves to cuddle and he's a HOT SWAT team member. He has no faults whatsoever. Ashton helps break through some of the barriers that Anna has created and slowly she starts to live again with his encouragement and assistance. Ashton becomes aware of his feelings for Anna pretty soon and hopes he can make her feel the same way before its time for him to leave. I won't give you anymore details (remember it's over 500 pages so I haven't given away any spoilers) but this book is so worth the read.Ashton and Anna are so sweet together. I will say that Carter will of course make another appearance and it will have you reading every page on the edge of your seat. I cried, laughed, smiled and just felt both sorrow and happiness in this book. The epilogue is absolutely beautiful. You do get your happy ending and its one of the best I've read. Such a wonderful book. Oh and in March we get a companion novel about Nate, Ashton's best friend who was second in the SWAT class behind Ashton. He's a player and you'll love his character. Can't wait to see what's next. This was a really great book and I hope you will take the time to read it.

Awesome, Absolutely Awesome ... both Anna and Jack Needed Justice
This book has everything … it’s a heart wrenchingly beautiful storyline full of action, drama, love and pain.Yes, there is heartbreak but not of the usual kind. There’s no cheating or betrayal … but there is loss, a loss that never can have a second chance. However, there is healing too. It’s not one of those ‘insta healings’ of 'I’m sorry and all is well'. It’s a journey for that healing to happen but a journey worth following. If you’re anything like me, your heart will go out to these characters ... some in a good way an some in a bad way. You can’t wait to see how it all ends but then you don’t want it to end. This is two books in one so there’s no cliffhanger, it’s a complete standalone. The only thing I regret is leaving it in my library so long before reading it. I knew it was going to be good so wanted to make sure I had enough time allotted to really sit back, read and enjoy. And, enjoy I did. 👁 OBSERVATIONS:… The first chapter brings you directly into the storyline. At that point there is no turning back. After that, one thing will be on your mind… JUSTICE. It might take a while, but justice is delivered. (Personally, I wanted to see it delivered blow by blow, letting every last person that put a finger on Jack, feel every painful blow and to know more is to come.)… Couple things I questioned. (a) Anna left Ashton vulnerable just like she did Dean and Peter. Moving away left no bargaining chip and she realized that the first time so why do the same thing the second time? Fortunately, Carter was more responsive to her pleas than his hooligans.(b) Why didn't help come when she kept screaming for it? Lots of people on that dance floor to witness what was happening. And when they went to leave, they weren't in a back alley. They were in the open.… The book needs a different cover. This latest one doesn’t do it justice. Anna looks like a promiscuous, wild woman here and she is anything but that. The first cover was much better.

This is going to leave me with one heck of a book hangover!
I have always said that if a book can make you laugh or make you cry then you know it's going to be great.. this did both.Reading is a great love of mine and has been for as long as I can remember. I had been in a bit of a book jam and just couldn't find anything that got me hooked. I had come across Nothing Left to Lose about 5 or 6 times and always skipped past it thinking it didn't sound like my cup of tea.. how wrong was I?! I read through the reviews and decided to give it a try, if you are currently undecided then trust me and go for it you will not be disappointed.I completely fell in love with Ashton and was so disappointed when I could see I was coming to the end. It's a book you wish you could unread and start all over again.Brilliant from start to finish !!

Enjoyed
I had this book on my TBR for a while (a few years) once agin reading the synopsis I thought I would give it a go. The first 15% was all that I love in a read, exciting, heartbreaking and great potential, then the next 70% was very repetitive and the storyline became very boring, so much so that I began skipping pages until I was 85% in then it got exciting again and I couldn’t stop reading until the end. The writing did flow but so much of the same over & over. A decent read but I won’t be hurrying for book 2

In my Top 5 BEST READS FOR 2014
AMAZING STORY, i loved this book its in my top 5 reads for 2014 it was beautiful, intense, heart melting. dramatic, moving, and emotional. I honestly could not put it down. When I look at the piles of books I have read over the past this is one which I will look at the cover and know what this novel did to me emotiomnally drawing you in and the cover just matches the feelings this book portrays. Ashton and Anna's story is such a wonderful love story and the way the story unfolds is just fantastic. I honestly would have given it more stars if I could it was so lovely. I know some of it was a bit far fetched at times but it did not deter from the story at all. I will read this again I know for sure asthe characters were great the story kept me interested and I just wanted to keep on reading on and on. I always think a good book is one when nothing else seems to matter but being able to get throught the next chapter undisturbed. I found myself hiding in places in the house so no one found me so i could read more and more. Thats the sign of a good book. Kirsty moseley is a fab author i so enjoyed "The book who sneaked in my bedroom window" it was adorable and now "Nothing left to lose" was just so moving and I found myself smiling to myself it was so lovely. Now starting "Always You" another of Kirstys novels.

Very gripping and emotional - Loved it!
Nothing left to lose (contain graphic and sexual contents)A book like no other that I have ever read. Annabelle Spencer a sweet young girl out on a date with her childhood sweetheart Jack on her 16th Birthday, everything should have been perfect, though Carter Thomas, a vile evil man who takes a shine to Annabelle makes it his personal mission to take her, make her his and kill anyone that gets in his way. Carter kills Jack in front of Annabelle and imprisons her in his life of abuse, cruelty and murder – until Annabelle is found and rescued 10 months later.Three years later, Anna is still a broken mess living in the darkness with her broken spirit and painful heart is struggling to get back to any sort of living. Her parents are worried that they can’t get close to her to help, no one can. Anna pushes those she loves away, scared that they too will be taken from her, and that sort of pain is too much. She also won’t let anyone touch her. Just existing in a life that she doesn’t want to live, Anna shows she will take no s*** off no one, defensive, bitchy, feisty she gives everyone a run for their money. After being expelled from several schools and having a record for making her near guards quit from four days in to a max of three months, Ashton has his work cut out for him. After graduating top of his class as a SWAT agent, his first assignment is to be Annabelle Spencer’s near guard. Handpicked by Annabelle’s father Senator Spencer, pegged to be the next President, Ashton has eight months to keep Annabelle safe, in School and able to cope with the retrial of Carter Thomas in eight months’ time.Having to pose as Annabelle’s boyfriend so he can keep close and protect her from others that may harmlessly take a shine to her, Ashton and Annabelle have to get close and learn to trust each other.A cracking story, both written in Anna’s and Ashton’s POV, The characters are loveable (except Carter and his mob) and the story was just amazing. Highly recommended!Kirsty Moseley has also written ‘Enjoying the Chase’ a book about Nate, a character from this story, which sounds great too and will read!Other books by KirstyAlways YouFree FallingThe boy who sneaks in my bedroom – I have read and also thorough enjoyed and recommend!

It goes on and on and on and on and on
I admit I'm probably not in the target demographic for this book but the premise was good and I like The Boy who Climbs in My Bedroom Window so I gave it a go.There's "action" from the offset which throws us into the fray but it's all a little blah to be honest.Basically the main girl Anna is out with a BF for her 16th birthday when they're inexplicably attacked by some evil criminal mastermind. It's all a bit Bond villain really and there's no explanation given for his actions other than that Anna is SOOOOOO beautiful that she drives men crazy.Cue the next hapless man to fall victim, Ashton Taylor. At 21 and with no previous combat experience, he is the most outstanding SWAT agent anyone has EVER seen even Secret Service veterans who let him boss them around. The problem with Ashton is that the writer makes him too perfect. He's so perfect he practically acts like a teenage girl.I seemed to have been reading forever and the book was still only at 12%. I couldn't believe it and seriously wondered how the author would drag it out more. She does this by writing EVERY single tiny detail of their day. Anna wakes up, she puts on a tee shirt, she brushes her teeth, she makes coffee, she talks to someone....It starts reading like a shopping list and all momentum is lost. I kept hanging on for some more action and when it happens it's so implausible it's embarrassing to read.I think the author has some great ideas but seriously needs to think about research, characterisation and editing out at least two thirds of anything she writes. Seriously took me 3 months to read this!!!!!
