If She Knew (A Kate Wise Mystery-Book 1) Paperback – May 3, 2019

Good plot, surprising twist and likeable characters. Strong female law enforcement is always a favorite of mine.I'll be reading more of this author soon!

Recommended for crime thriller readers or those who enjoy police procedurals

This is a very good book. The strong female characters, the tight storyline, and roller coaster action made this a true page-turner. I devoured it in a day. You will enjoy this mystery. I recommend.

Newly retired 55-year-old FBI agent Kate Wise gets caught up in a murder investigation when a friend’s daughter is murdered and the friend asks Kate to see what she can find out. She’s bored with the quiet life and, frankly, misses everything about being an agent. Soon more bodies of “happily married” suburban moms start turning up, and Kate figures there’s a serial killer stalking her quiet town.I am a fan of this author’s other series so took a chance on this one. I like the idea of a main character in my age group, facing the same thing I’m facing – what do I do with myself when I retire. I liked everything about this book – the writing, the plot, the pacing, the character development. I like that even though she’s been retired for a year, the skills she learned on The Job stay with her and she can still best agents (and criminals) half her age. That woman can take (and throw) a punch. I enjoyed going along for the ride as Kate and her new partner solve the mystery. The book held my interest all the way through, and made the time on the elliptical whizz by. At the end of the book, I immediately bought book 2 and pretty much binge read that.I will continue reading this series.

It was entertaining, easy reading, a slight surprise of whodunit, it kept me reading but nothing overly exciting. Good read.

I have rated the first book of this series a four star. Definitely a page turner that's for sure. Extremely exciting read. The murders in this rich community. Not knowing , who is killing these ladies, the why or, who was next. Loved it can't wait to read the next book.

This book hooks you right from the start. Lots of action, and insight into early retirement! The intrigue continues right to the end of the book, there are no suspects and then boom!

So take a 55 yr old supposedly retired FBI Agent.....365 days of boredom and the desire to resume your career. Add in the death of your friends daughter and a basically new agent. You get a book that takes you to the seat of the Assistant Director of the FBI, for a unexpected reason.This leads to unexpected answers and more questions. Great book to begin a Series with. No graphic sex scenes mild romance. Didn't need either one.Can't wait to read more

I’m not a big reader, but wanted something that I couldn’t put down once I got into it. I liked the overview of the book and am glad I bought it.Needless to say, I couldn’t put the book down! Was easy to read as well. I will be purchasing the next book in the series.

Very well written and loved the experience of reading it. Worth spending time on reading it. Amazing plot of the story. You don't really see the end coming

A personagem e a premissa da agente madura de volta à ativa eram boas promessas, mas a escrita é fraca e óbvia; não há um arco de suspense ou descobertas e inferências que justifiquem por quê ela era considerada tão genial no FBI. Achei decepcionante (mas serviu de distração mas minhas férias)

This is the first book iv read by Blake Pierce, really enjoyed it. Will definitely be reading more from this author.
