Better than the original !
I purchased the full cast iron grate that came with this insert. I dropped it accidently and one of the prongs broke off. No big deal but I eventually decided to purchase a replacement. All I can say is that the replacement seems to be somewhat of a higher quality. This is slightly heavier, though the size and pattern are the same, sits level. And the finish of the cast iron is clean and definitive. No lumps or extruding iron. This was definitely a great purchase.

Nice riser for my gas stove
I had a hot burner on my gas stove so I got this to add hight and it cools the heat and spreads out the area. Works great. It's heavy and feels substantial

Great Grill Grate. Very heavy gauge. I haven’t used it yet, but I can tell it will work well.

Cracked on first use
I have been grilling on Weber grills for 40 years. I know what I’m doing. I have used other cast iron inserts.First use? This thing cracked within a minute of the grill being fired up. Save yourself the agony and keep scrolling for an alternative brand.

It fits, it's heavy, it is what was described and it was affordible.
Have not cooked on it yet but know the material. It will be perfect.
