Excellent for purpose but limited usefulness
Works perfectly to remove bulbs from can fixtures, but when I bought it to avoid climbing ladders, I forgot I have no can fixtures. You still have to remove shades and most fixtures have angled bulbs. Late night purchase. Lol

Easy to use & perfect for my needs at a great price!
I bought this to change a flood lamp recessed above a stairwell that I cannot get directly under (see attached image). I used the large basket that’s attached in the packaging. Adjusting th lengthy of the Pope was simple. But when I tried to turn it, the pole extensions slipped and the bulb would not turn. In my application I was able to lean out from the stair case and twist without having to hold either of the extended sections and the bulb came out easily. If I had to reach it from the floor it would have been more difficult.Overall I’m very happy with the product. I wouldn’t recommend for professional use as the construction is too flimsy. But for occasional joke use it’s a great value and accomplished what I needed.

Good product for home usage, who needs of useage is less frequent.
Overall product is good and severed the purpose for which i made the purchase, which was changing couple spotlight bulbs from high ceiling in the house. Reason I am giving 4 start is, telescope handle get lose & keep collapsing while I am trying to rotating bulb into fixture. Hence require multiple attempt before i can get the work done. Having a handle lock, would have been helpful to avoid this and have better user experience.Since this is budget product, sturdiness matches the cost, so not much to complain as other options are much costlier. Generally for home users frequency of needing to use would be less (may be one or twice in a year to change high ceiling bulb), so good for such usage as don't invest much upfront. However I would don't recommend for more people needing to user more frequently or commercial usage.

... similar light bulb changers before and this one was HORRIBLE. I had to change a light bulb about ...
I've used similar light bulb changers before and this one was HORRIBLE. I had to change a light bulb about 11 feet in the air on a stairwell. Here are the issues I had with this kit:1) The head didn't screw on well. The plastic bit that screws on the parts just wasn't sturdy.2) The tightening and loosening function on the pole itself wasn't secure at all. When you turn it left to unscrew the light bulb, the pole on locks and collapses.3) The flood bulb head doesn't fit in a standard flood bulb ceiling socket. In most of the houses I've lived in, vaulted ceilings have flood bulbs. The head for flood bulbs gets stuck in the light container.4) The pole and heads just 'feel' cheap. They don't work well at all. Here's the story of what happened when I tried to replace a bulb.I attach the head...several times because it doesn't like to stay on....and then I try to get the head around the bulb. It barely fits after some finagling. I go to unscrew the bulb and the pole onlocks and just spins. After trying for about 10 minutes, I give up and try and remove the pole from the bulb. The head comes off of the pole and just hangs from the bulb, 11 feet in the air on a staircase where I can't get to it with a ladder.I eventually call a friend to climb a scaffold to get the damned pole off the bulb and change the light.Worst purchase I've made so far. Next time I'll just go to Home Depot and buy a decent one. Don't go cheap or you'll regret it.

Saved my living room
This tool totally saved me recently when one of the flood style bulbs in my recessed lighting blew out. I have a room with cathedral-style ceilings (attic was removed so ceiling goes up to the top of the house frame), and some of the recessed bulbs at the tallest point can be 15+ feet high! Not a simple bulb to change for someone like me who's afraid of heights! But this tool was amazing... All I had to do was use the basket-style end to wrap around the bulb and get enough friction to spin it out. I didn't need the suction cup or other attachments, it was really very straight forward, however I DID need to sort of get on the bulb at an angle. I was nervous about replacing the bulb with a new one because I wasn't sure I could get the basket off the bulb, but again after some fiddling around with a 45 degree angle, I was able to squeeze the tool head around the bulb and leave the new one behind.Worked perfectly for me right out of the box!

Works ok, suction hit and miss, be prepared to be frustrated with the release string
First of all, this is a pole to change a light bulb. No bells and whistles needed. To that end it worked fine. The suction is a bit finicky at times, but works. The pole works as any other pole. The frustrating part involved the string you need to hook up yourself in order to release the suction from the bulb. It comes literally as a ball of cheap string in a small baggie. It's not organized or packaged in a manner that it readily comes undone. It literally balls up and is useless. I had to search around my house to find replacement string to use.Would be nice if they provided maybe a slightly higher quality of string, a step up from useless, and made some effort to package it in such a way that it isn't a cluster to use.Other than that, it works.

Had my doubts but worked like a charm
I had my doubts but it worked like a charm. Needed to change a PAR38 flood light on the outside of my house by using this pole to change it from a window. Pole was sturdy, the cage device gripped firmly onto the old bulb for removal, and new bulb for installing. Would recommend practicing getting a bulb into/out of the cage device before attempting as quite a bit of force is required to get the cage device onto the bulb. Bulb changed in just a few minutes.

Quickly solves a potential problem
This devise enables the user to replace burned-out light bulbs from ceiling fixtures which are too high to reach without a ladder….potentially creating a hazardous situation. The distance from the floor to some bulbs in our house can reach almost 20 feet. Using this pole enabled me to easily remove and replace PAR type bulbs while staying on the floor (no ladder required). Included attachments also enabled removal and replacement of standard bulbs….all without danger for the user or onlookers….I.e. my wife.
