VIP Pets - Surprise Hair Reveal Doll - Series 1 Mousse Bottle - 2 Pack

We ordered this 2 pack of the title toys and received the characters shown in these photos, Taylor and Stella (Mermaid). The products are the full size ones, and opening isn't too difficult but my 3 and 5 year old nieces definitely needed help and supervision- especially as the pups are secured tightly with zip ties that need a box litter or sharp, durable, thin scissors to remove without cutting any hair. We opted for only a partial opening as we have done the full experience before and they didn't care one way or another about wet hair and having to drumy it, especially because one prior ended up with a tangled, matted mess before playing - as opposed to the very full, glittery and soft hair on the new items. These two are actually quite pretty, as an adult I can still see the allure and would've lived having these when younger. The outer packaging is designed so that they aren't completely "blind" boxed as you can line up the eyes with an eye shape on the bottle and if looking at a checklist it isn't hard to match up- ordering online doesn't help this, but in stores it would save money or returning opened items others may purchase not knowing. Lastly there are different accessories with each and they all seem to fit back in the bottom of the container for storage if you keep the three pieces. These were bought on sale so it was hands down a great buy for the price but even if not a cyber deal 2 for 1 seems like they'll still get use out of them!

My 8 and 12 yes old granddaughters loved them. Hair is much nicer than more expensive dolls I have bought them. They are exactly as described, fun to reveal but be sure to wipe the goop down from the hair not into it. Much bigger than I thought they would be and hair is truly super long. My granddaughters are a little older so they had little trouble with hair tangling, but I can see where the littler girls would have a tangled mess.

I love the accessories they come with. I think they are adorable. Its fun opening them i wish you could order the dog you wanted.

I am an adult and I collect toys so my review is going to be more critical. Opening it is messy and I don’t know what it is, but the plastic bag containing the hair and the wrap around the body becomes gooey. I would just take off the cap and wrap and avoid getting it wet. You also need to wipe the paint off the face which you need several q-tips or a paper towel to wipe off and it does not look as easy as it does in the product video. The hair in the middle of the scalp is sparse so if you try to style it, you can see how “bald” the doll’s head is. So you need to find a way to work around it. I personally do not like the t-shirts painted on the dog/doll because, as found in many mass produced products, they are misprinted sometimes. If you want it removed, just get some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. The tail on the doll is really small, which for me is disappointing. I understand why they are designed that way though as a large plastic tail would get in the way of sitting in the salon chair they come with. I see a lot of potential for those who like to customize their toys/figrines. The hair can also be manually removed and replaced with custom hair but it’s a very tedious process. I plan on removing the decals and giving them a custom paint job sometime and dying some fur to make them fluffy tails instead of the tiny plastic ones they come with. They are much larger than I expected which can be a good and a bad thing. I bought the Mini Fans one before (the small purple one) and thought it was slightly larger. The hair is nice material, I’m assuming kankelon because it feels similar to that of a cosplay wig. The suction cup on one of the chairs doesn’t work very well so it’s frustating to style the hair when the chair with the doll keeps falling over. Over all very cute. I just wish some things were done differently. I think the company learned their lesson with this toy since I don’t see them making any more series with the gooey cap. I think they’re a little pricey but I do think the quality is good. I got these for $15 on a deal, so if you’re trying to spend less, just wait for them to go on sale.

I bought these for Christmas last year. My daughter loved them very much. She plays with them every day. It was worth my money. The quality was awesome.

These are so fun! My niece loved the surprise of finding out what color hair the pups would have. You put them under water to reveal the hair which is really neat. Just keep the puppy under the running water long enough to rinse the packaging off! The hair is good quality so it’s easy to brush and style without getting knotted. They come with cute hair accessories that are easy to use and clip in so they don’t fall off easy. My niece loves taking them to the pool and they can even be used as bathtub toys. Great concept! Will be ordering more!

These dolls are super sweet, with the most beautiful long hair to brush and style. Accessories are cute as well.
