Great Lure
Excellent alternative to the Jitterbug. Depending where you shop, Jitterbugs can get kind of expensive. This creates great topwater noise and gets big hits. The lip on the jitterbug can bend and it awkwardly swims back from time to time depending on wind/reel speed. The crazy crawler has 2 jointed lips...when one is out, the other is in. It's going to swim the same every time. If the lip bends, you bend it back and it will swim the same as it did unlike the jitterbug where you have to bend it just right for it to work properly.The only advantage that the Jitterbug has that I've seen is sizes. I've only found this one crazy crawler in this size where I have a Jitterbug the same size, and then a slightly larger one that's jointed and they get bigger than that too.

Makes a great splash. "Hops" very well. 3rd cast brought the bass in.

I’m very happy with the Crazy Crawler. Caught several Bass with it already. Pleased with Amazon services and delivery. Will do business with you again.

Great lure, poor quality
If you are looking at this lure you know the history behind Crazy Crawler. Now, the thing that you may not know (I did not) Heddon is now made in China. With that you get Chinese quality lures. I bought 6 Crazy Crawlers, only 2 worked straight out of the box. The wing is assembled too tight and it does't open after the lure hit the water, making this lure useless. I returned the defected lures to Amazon. As aways, Amazon took it back and replaced with new ones. Unfortunately the same problem happen to the replaced lures. Instead of sending back again, I took an exacto knife and shaved some of the excess plastic that holds the wing off and now they are working but it took some time to "fine tune" it. If you never fished with this lure before and the wings are stuck, you will think that this lure just does't do anything. Sad to see a legendary American brand lure such as Heddon been made in China now...

Smallmouth Love it
Has a wobble action similar to a Jitterbug. The bass go bonkers for it when used at the right time.
