Now this is an incredible pan! WOW!!
"Now this is an incredible pan! WOW!!" ... That was my very first thought and I actually said it aloud to myself as I opened the box and took out the pan... (then very quickly looked around to make sure no one had seen me excitedly talking to myself about a PAN -- ha ha ha) It is heavy and very sturdy; just as shiny as the pix shows it; it seems much larger** than anticipated; and overall, it looks & feels like it will last for generations! **The inside diameter of this pan is slightly more than 10" and the depth is 4 1/8" on the outside edges with the center funnel a full 4 3/4"... The outside diameter of the pan is 10 1/2", which makes it visually larger than I expected... But I am DELIGHTED with it, not complaining... EDIT Sept 2013: This pan holds exactly 18 cups of whatever you put in it... That fills it to the very TOP rim, obviously not how high you'd ever fill it, but that's how big it is... I cannot wait to actually use it... This is THE perfect type of metal pan to make "old-fashioned angel food cakes" in ... Most modern pans have that "non-stick" coating or they are made of heavy molded oven-safe plastic... NONE of which make more than only a "half-way decent" angel food cake because the heating properties of those types of pans isn't "right"... An angel food cake depends on minimal stirring/folding of the batter so as to leave as many "air bubbles" as possible (for moistness, something commercial bakeries cannot seem to copy) and for the pan, itself, to heat up and cook the outside of the cake to a 'golden brown' color without burning it or overcooking the inside of the cake, which is what also ruins them... In my humble opinion, ONLY this type of metal pan can get that right ... Sept 2013 EDIT: I have used it multiple times now and it is AWESOME and makes a perfect angel food cake! My Mom had a pan very similar to this one when I was growing up that made the most wonderful angel food cakes imaginable! She used it hundreds of times over the years to make unbelievably delicious & incredibly moist cakes with absolutely perfect browned color on the outside of the cake... No frosting required, I ate it plain as it was so moist that it almost melted in your mouth!... and, unlike most modern cookware, her pan outlasted her )-; ... I expect that mine (this new one) will do the same! In fact, mine will probably fare better as it even sturdier than hers -- which had its share of dents over the years... It is a ONE PIECE CONSTRUCTION... That is very important because that means that there is none of the nonsense of the "spring pans" where the bottom comes out... (and they leak all over the oven when well used)... This will never leak as it is clearly molded into its design so there are no seams inside or on the base of the pan... I bought 2 of them, one for myself and one for one of my daughters who'd asked for one as a gift... and now, I plan to buy a third one for my other daughter now that I've received it... My second daughter is working as a professional baker / caterer while working through med school and, I can tell by the feel of it that she will definitely consider this a pan worthy to use professionally! EDIT Sept 2013: Both of my daughters have used and love theirs too! YMMV, but I am very pleased with mine! If that changes for any reason, I will EDIT my review accordingly... But I totally doubt that it will change as this is precisely the "right feel" of a perfect angel food cake pan! EDIT May 2013: The pan is everything I expected it would be... and also a warning... DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DISHWASHER... EVER... It ruins its looks/finish (but not its use)... Otherwise, this is one amazing pan, worth every penny charged!

Perfect pan
Great pan, the perfect size for my recipe. The label stickers were hard to remove, but I found if you get the sticker soaked with vegetable oil and let it sit for a least an hour, then apply baking soda everything will come off cleanly. Amazing

Sturdy and stays looking like new.
I was getting this pan out this morning to do a coffee cake in and it struck me that I should review it. I’ve had this pan for over a year now and have used it quite a bit. I have not had a cake fail in it yet. It distributes the heat very well so the cakes cook evenly. It cleans up very easily. I wait until the pan is cooled and put it in hot soapy water. The pan looks brand new. I use it for pound cakes, coffee cakes, angel food and any recipe that calls for a bundt pan. I thought the price was good for a quality pan. I will certainly buy other pans from Fat Daddio.

Make cake came out right!
This pan was worth the money. I actually make a really huge cream cheese poundcake. I was using a standard 9 inch bundt pan and it would always fall apart after I emptied the cake out. Someone suggested that I purchase a bigger pan. I decided to try this one. My cake came out in one piece! It was big enough and deep enough. It is a really big pan compared to the standard, so I think this works well with larger, denser cakes. Pan is kind of light weight, but appears to be sturdy. Good purchase.

Excellent Baking Pan
The aluminum one piece tube pan I have was given to me by my mother years ago. It was beginning to bend, and hard to keep that full round shape. Don't get me wrong I have baked many many pound cakes in it. But, I had searched and searched for another one piece aluminum tube pan to replace it. There was times I was about to give up finding such a pan in local stores. I thought the only place I would come across one would be at a yard sale or flea market. Then I did a search on Amazon, to my surprise they had one. Sometimes it's hard to make a decision when ordering online, because you can't see and feel. After reading all the reviews I decided to order the Fat Daddio's Anodized Aluminum 10- inch Angel Food Cake Pan. This was the best pan I could have ordered. I LOVE IT. This pan is what I would call restaurant material. The weight is much heavier than my old tube pan and it is beautiful (if you can call a pan beautiful). The pound cakes come out just superbly. For anyone who is looking for a one piece tube pan, this is the pan. I'm sure I will have this pan for many years and will be able to pass down to my daughter, because of the quality. You can't go wrong! The shipping on this product was fast, also. Ordered before the week of Thanksgiving. So I was able to really test this pan out, because I had alot of orders for pound cakes Thanksgiving week, and it passed the test. Did I say I LOVE this pan? I LOVE IT!

Perfect Size when you don't need a large cake.
Perfect for dividing standard cake recipes in half.

Love this "pound cake" pan!
I just made my first pound cake in this pan and I LOVE the results! In my experience, a "shiny" metal pan (as opposed to a dark nonstick type) makes a better cake. Maybe it's just my oven, but the shiny pans definitely work better for me. This pan is a heavy-duty and great quality pan. It is ONE piece, so there's no chance of batter slipping out of the bottom insert. I "greased" the pan generously with shortening and the cake slid right out after it had cooled for about 20 minutes. (If I'm going to go to the expense and trouble of making a pound cake, I'm going to grease the pan the old-fashioned way. Also, I don't like the sticky residue that sprays leave on the top rim of pans.) The cake was a lovely golden brown color and was cooked evenly. This is now my favorite pan for baking a pound cake!

This angel food cake pan may be a bit on the expensive side, but it’s absolutely worth it. It’s made of high-quality aluminum, feels very sturdy, bakes evenly, and releases cakes effortlessly. While the product itself is fantastic, I did encounter one common issue—removing the stickers. They were surprisingly difficult to peel off initially. However, by immersing the pan in a bucket of hot water for a couple of hours, the labels peeled off effortlessly in no time.

Good quality!

This was bigger then my old one so now my angel food cakes are more flatter - might have to try increasing the recipe to get the height back to the cake.
