I was talking with my nephew about Nutcrackers, and the history of them. He is 4, but his questions and understanding for things like this astonishes me.For years, I have been meaning to start buying a little collection for myself to put up as part of my Christmas decorations. I have always loved the meaning of them, as well as the aesthetic. After this cute conversation, I decided to make the jump and purchased it. When I received it in the mail, I told my nephew that I had one and that he could come over and play with it. He was thrilled to find it in my house, and spent a at least 45 minutes playing with it, and looking at all its features.I will look at this little guy as not only the first nutcracker I’ve purchased, but also a great memory I shared with my nephew attached to it. I’m glad I have it now.

This was a Christmas gift for my Mom, who collects nutcrackers. And, this was just perfect for her!The size is pretty standard- it matches the rest of her army well. The price is a little steep, in my opinion. But, the quality seems to be there as this has lasted a few years being in & out of storage, placed to exhibit.It’s an excellent gift for anyone who collects these- or even to get someone started on their collection! Especially if you have a younger one participating in the annual Holiday theatre production.This is more meant for ornamental & sentimental- I would not attempt to actually try & crack nuts with it!

I recently acquired two Nutcrackers to begin my very first collection. While they are a solid start, I believe there is room for improvement. As you can see, the paintwork, particularly on the faces, shows slight inconsistencies, and the overall craftsmanship could be more refined. However, I’m still excited about continuing to expand my new collection and look forward to finding more pieces with greater attention to detail. Each piece is still beautiful and I will definitely give them another try.

This piece is very vibrant. The front buttons catch the light as do the jewels on his crown. His uniform is very detailed. He’s also very sturdy. It’s lovely.

An attractive nutcracker to replace one we broke years ago

It's a gift. I hope they like it. If not, I'll add it to my collection.

These are a beautiful edition to my Christmas decorations. A little price, but if you want something nice (and they’re well crafted and unusual African American Nutcrackers) you have to pay for it. Very nice, I’d deal with this company again.
