Trodat 4820 Self-Inking Dater with Red Ink

I have ordered this stamper twice from 2 different sellers. Both times I received one with black ink, even though I paid a lot extra to get one with red ink. The box label says it contains red ink, but it does not. Clearly there is a warehouse mistake that needs fixed. I have ordered a black one before that works well, but I want a colored one now to show up better on students' papers. I have returned both, and will order one made from a different company this time.

I hesitated before buying this. It seems to be marketed for light use, but I need to date stamp 30-50 things a day at work. Since I was paying out of pocket for a work tool, I took a chance on this. Well worth it. Absolutely NO problems with this at all. I typically stamp 16-20 dates in a row, then a few hours later do another batch. This actually works much better than the expensive date stamper that work paid for that also stamps the company name in blue around the date. That one often has to be stamped several times before the date shows up. This cheapie one works every time unless I accidentally have the paper on top of something else.

Exactly what I was looking for to replace my 10 year old date stamper. Works great with minimal pressure required. A great improvement over my old one.

It came with Black Ink. I purchased Red.
