These are hard to find bulbs at our local home centers. The bulb of most others are too large. Very glad to find a place where they can be ordered.

Can't buy PAR20 halogen bulbs from the large hardware stores anymore since all are going LED route. The LEDs do not work well (flicker) for under the range hood due to the heat. Thank goodness you can still get them online (made in China though).

I live in California and have a range hood that uses these bulbs. I have tried to replace burned out bulbs with LEDs but the housings are made of plastic and melt and could cause a fire in a range hood. Wake up, there are some things that just can’t be replaced with led bulbs! I had to have these sent to relatives in another state and had them ship them to me as they cannot be sold in California.

Update - Today is, January 13, 2023, and the last of the bulbs delivered in mid-August, 2022 failed today, just about five months later. On average, these six bulbs lasted less than a month!I actually bought this item twice. The first was 1/20/21. In August of this year I learned I needed bulbs again. Maybe I should have realized it was a bit early based on my own history, and the longevity claims made with the item when I made the purchase. But on 8/15/22 I re-ordered, and they were delivered the next day! Long story short, when one of these bulbs burned out yesterday, I lost the fourth of the six bulbs in my most recent order. The last two bulbs to go were installed this month, the 3rd and 8th is the best I can tell from the date markings I added when I installed them.I very recently contacted the seller, and was offered a refund for the three bulbs that had burned out at that time. I explained that I didn't think that reasonable in that I'd still be left with three bulbs I have little reason to believe will last longer than the three that had already burned out. Of course, since then a fourth of these bulbs has also burned out. I offered to send the remaining bulbs (at that point three) back if provided a prepaid shipping label. But, I haven't yet heard back in response to my message.So, I'm left with two bulbs of very questionable worth, and a seller who made a very questionable offer trying to settle my experience. I know it's unlikely this happens to most buyers, but I think you should know this when considering a purchase of this item.

I bought 2 thinking I would have to replace both bulbs I had in my kitchen, but as it turns out, these sort of lights are pretty universal and I only needed one. So now I have a spare to lose in the next 10 years while I wait for another light to go out.

Product arrived as advertised; excellent quality and the light generated matches the bank of lights already in service. Happy customer!

Light up the room well without giving you a headache from being too bright. Recommend.

I bought the 6 pack in Dec 2023. I only needed one bulb and it’s already burnt out, so lasted maybe 6 months. The original halogen bulbs we bought from Rona lasted 8 years or longer. What’s worse is the bulb was in a room that we hardly use! So really only got a few hours out of it!! Hopefully the rest of the bulbs last longer!
