Tazer JL a must for any Jeep owner
The tazerJL lite did exactly as advertised. I need to recalibrate my speedometer on my Gladiator when changed from factory size tires to 35” tires. This also helped change the shift points in the 8 spd trans. However I will say the TazerJL mini for another $120 has many more features especially if you have a rubicon edition. But satisfied with this product. And you can always upgrade via Zauto customer service if you want the extra features.

Jeep must have
Great upgrade for my Jeep. This allows me to adjust for adding larger tires and also allows for system upgrades for *lightshow* and TPMS sets. A must have if you want to upgrade your jeep

Very happy I made this purchase!
I purchased the TAzer JL for my Jeep Gladiator because I have 37" tires and wanted to calibrate my speedometer to match this tire size. The installation was straightforward; however, pairing it was a bit confusing the first time I used it. It offers more functions than I will likely ever need, but the light show feature definitely attracts attention at car shows. I appreciate its compact size, and the quality gives the impression that it came straight from the Jeep factory. This is a definite must-have if you have larger tires and want to disable the annoying start-stop function.

Bricked. Restoral a PiTA. Works once fixed.
Performing the recommended upgrade right out of the box, the device became unresponsive and essentially bricked and was no longer able to communicate with the device via the USB port. After numerous discussion boards and YouTube videos, was finally able to reflash firmware. Klunky, half-a SW/FW dev here. Once fixed, works as designed.

Draining my batteries
The tazer was plugged into my jeep and at first, it was fine. I was able to recalibrate my speedometer and use the start stop function. However, after 2 weeks, my jeep was dead. Both batteries had to be replaced. Two weeks later, same thing happened. I have tried updating the firmware because I read that the version I had, it was known to have issues. So updated and tried it again only to realize it is keeping my jeep from going to “sleep”. All lights would turn off and immediately, the dash lights would turn back on. So it is constantly using battery. Maybe I got a lemon, I’m not sure. But wasted money for me.

Works like magic!
Works great, installation directions are challenging, also not sure why the box comes marked with z locker which is a different product for the tru lock lockers found in Rubicons and the rear axle of the Willy’s., I was apprehensive to open the box, I even returned the first unit unopened because I thought they shipped the wrong product ugh. Be sure to update the firmware first on a computer. had no trouble finding the Jeep harness plugs to relocate to the tazer, had to remove panel under column to access the module, then pry the fabric panel surrounding the column base to get at the connectors. I’m a little mobility challanged and had a tough time getting in a physical position to make the necessary changes under the dash. I recommend getting the optional extension cable. programming commands are left arrow followed by cruise function, I had to watch a you tube video to figure out the arrow symbol on the instructions was the left arrow button on the left side of the steering wheel the instructions use a combination of symbols and words. you need to hold the left arrow on the left side of the wheel while you use the cruise buttons on the right side of the wheel to marry the tazer Guess I’m not the sharpest these days 🤦🏼. I bought this primarily for the Start stop last state and TPMS features, and they work flawlessly. My jeep is a 2025 Willys unlimited, sadly the unconnect 5 infotainment system is not compatible yet. So I couldn’t use some of the other cool features older JL Jeeps can access, will check back later to see if future updates will offer more functionality. I bought the lite version, plan to upgrade it to a mini if the other features are sorted out.
