Too Good For The Dog!
I purchased this product as after treatment for mites, my dog still had irritated skin. She obviously didn't like it because she licked it off with every application, and then refused to let me apply it. I think it would have to be dog food flavour for her to accept it. Having bought the stuff I thought, where's the harm in using it up myself? I read the ingredients list (with difficulty due to the enormous bar code placed, helpfully over the ingredients and directions on the back) and they're all natural and occur in human products. I don't know about you, but I've been bitten to death this summer by everything. Don't know why, but everyone I speak to says the same. In for a penny, I thought, as I smeared it liberally over the bites. Well all I can say is 'Fabulous'! Soothing, healing (really fast), it stops all the itching and urge to scratch. Your skin feels marvellously moisturised and smooth. It smells of predominantly peppermint, which is fine. (My dog disagrees : ) I had gnats coming in through my open bedroom window at night- it was just too hot to shut it. I noticed almost immediately that an application to exposed arms stopped them in their tracks. Most of the oils are natural insect repellents so that must be it. I'm going to keep a pot close by as long as I can buy it now. So I can sit out on a summer evening and not get bitten, so any bites I do get heal up fast and stop itching. Who knows, I might even get the dog to accept it if she smells it on me regularly?! Much too good to be marketed exclusively for dogs. Especially the ungrateful ones like mine! (Didn't give any stars on flavour in this review, as I draw the line at tasting it myself.)

Ear mites
Cleared up my pugs ear mites (that were nibbling the edges of his ears, and making them crispy). Smells very strong, so be careful if you’re asthmatic.

Needs to be bigger
It would be better if this product came in a bigger size with a sponge. It has helped with my horses mites but I have had to buy several pots and one is not enough. Does not have a smell to it which is good and not too greasy.

Smells really nice
Got this as my dogs are very itchy and the only solution has been steroids from the Vet which only work for a short time. They've had anti flea and mite treatment, both oral and through the skin, which haven't worked. I liked the sound of this as it is all natural and hopefully better for my dogs than all the artificial meds. Fingers crossed it will work! It also smells very nice and goes on easily.

Great stuff
My pooch was diagnosed with mites, walking dandruff, veterinary treatment wasn't working so along side shampoo I started mid Jan as round his eye was a place they irritated severely and a few other areas. Now his eyes healed in been applying this twice daily around his eye as well as other places that became irritated. The shampoo is working but needed something for mainly his eye as twice he's rubbed it and ended up on antibiotics. His eye had started to be irritated slightly so I started using this balm. Soon after being applied he no longer needs to itch it as its soothed, its easy to apply and my dog actually enjoys it and seems to try to lick the pot.Not only that but just to see how well it works I applied some to some mild eczema on myself that was itchy and even worked on that.I think when ever he has any irritation I'm going to use this.

Toxic
Would have not given any stars but doesnt allow this! Used this sparingly on my French bulldog who has developed small bald patches and is itchy. Also put some on my English bulldog. Both dogs immediately had runny noses and then both began to get very thick frothy saliva and started to vomit. My English bully was sick 6 times. Washed it off as best I could. When I did some googling teatree oil is toxic for dogs. Really unhappy with product. Lesson learned, natural doesn't mean safe and to research more.
