I have been researching radio/CD players for awhile and, like most people, I was first and foremost concerned with quality sound and radio station reception. Second, easy operation, such as simple knobs for volume and tuning. Third, ease of switching functions (for me, this is just the radio and CD player). Fourth, the size of the unit so I could use it on my night stand or other locations in the house. After checking ratings and reviews on other brands, I finally settled on this one and, once I removed it from the box and plugged it in, it was clear to me that this Megatek was an excellent choice! Whether playing CDs or the radio, the sound is impeccable with the factory setting, whether I'm playing operas or classic rock or listening to my favorite classical radio station. The volume knob has a good range (0-32) which is convenient because sometimes CDs aren't recorded at the best level, so you can control it accordingly for optimal sound. The same is true with radio stations, especially those with weaker signals, but that's what the attached antenna is for, though I haven't needed to use it because major stations come in loud and clear. As a bonus, there is a preset function for your favorite radio stations (scan or set them manually); as for me, I only use a few stations, so I like the knob on top for manual tuning. Sound is #1, as I began this review, and again, I find the factory setting to be perfectly balanced so you get good sound and that includes bass, treble, or anything in between. Some players have an awful tinny sound and thankfully, you won't find that with this unit - only terrific sound. It's a smart looking unit, too, as the product picture on Amazon shows. Now, I should point out that I'm very particular when it comes to music, and I can guarantee that if this Megatek Portable CD player with FM radio didn't meet my ears' high standards after I tested it out, it would have been returned the day I received it; but I am happy to report it's still here and thanks to Megatek, I am enjoying my CDs and radio every day immensely! There is also a user's manual with this unit for your handy reference. I might add, the price is very reasonable, too, for this quality unit.

Looking for a late 1900’s vibe, with the perks of the 2020’s? We’ll look no further. This little jammer works like a charm and is the cutest piece to add to your room. It’s easy to use, sounds great, and is overall fun to use. I do not regret this purchase and I don’t think you would either!! Enjoy!!

Nice radio and the price is reasonable. The speaker lacks bass but overall you get pretty good sound.

Highly recommended. This Boombox has a high quality sound. I also like that it is very lightweight. I would definitely purchase it again.

Has multifunction capabilities. Sound quality is great. I used it with my CDs. It's small, I like that. I haven't tried the radio yet but I'm sure it will be great too. I love it. Color is great Looks cute. I got the red. I'd buy again.

The compact size is good for where I wanted to use it. It seems sturdy and the sound from the two speakers is good. I have been told I have a tin ear so take the quality of the sound given by a non expert musician. I connected this player up to my Sony speakers so that really improved the quality. The only thing that I’m not happy about is how the top lid you lift to place a CD in the player. The lid doesn’t open all the way so you have to squeeze the disk and your fingers in the limited opening. The picture will show that it is fully open and only goes about 2/3 open. I was looking for a CD player that was smaller in size and had OK quality sound….at a price that didn’t break the budget and this is exactly what I got.

I really like this lightweight, compact CD player. I still have my old boom box from the late 90’s, but I wanted something less bulky that I could easily take with me from room to room. I love that it plays FM radio stations. I never listen to AM stations, so I’m not missing out on anything. I also love that this CD player has a power cord that I can plug into an outlet. I personally don’t care for having to use USB cables to charge devices. I’m old school. I’m tickled pink that I can plug an old-school pair of headphones into it and not disturb everyone else in the house. I can’t speak about the Bluetooth functionality because I don’t use it for that. I have a couple of wireless speakers that I use to amplify digital music. I took away one star for three reasons. The CD player does not come with a remote. I have to walk over to the CD player to skip ahead to the songs I want to hear on a CD. A remote control would make using this item much more convenient. My second complaint is the image on the play/pause button is confusing. I had to look at the instruction manual to understand what that button does. My third complaint is the display screen shows the playtime of each song instead of showing the track number being played. I’d rather look at the display screen and immediately know what track is being played. I don’t need to know how many minutes I am into a song. Despite my three dislikes, I would still recommend this CD player for its affordable price and portability.

It sounds so much better than expected. The FM is not great but I just needed it for CDs so that's not an issue for me. Fast shipping and well packed.

I bought this CD Player for my daughters birthday. She was so excited to set it up. When we removed it from the box we were disappointed to find it had an American plug and not suitable for Australia. I'll have to sort out a plug adaptor.

This cd player is a good size and has good sound. Worth the price and enjoying it so far.

Ease of use, good sound, flexibility, light weight. I use it to play my many CDs that were just "sitting around". Will now donate all but my favorites.
