Why did you pick this product vs others?:I needed to twist some wires, and had heard about these aircraft pliers. Was amazed at what they did. Very cool and impressive tool.

Not good for the money, I didn’t expect them to last forever but they broke the first day. are not durable and the spinning mechanism broke and the spring popped out on the very first job I did with them and they are no longer functional.

I bought these as a starter set, as I use them yearly to safety wire around 25-30 sets of bolts. They seem to be identical to the professional brands, but are a fraction of the cost. They do the job well as long as you have enough practice with safety wire. I would recommend putting some blue Loctite on the knob at the end, as it has come undone a few times. I can't complain though, as I dropped the knob off a 200 foot tower once, and it wasn't damaged. I simply re-tightened it with the Loctite, and has held up since.

These work OK. The locking function out of the box is stiff. But a few shots of anti corrosive lubricant and they lock easily.Would I recommend buying? Yes, but start with some lube.

Red color comes off very easily. I mean I understand they are cheap but I didn’t expect them to be that bad in operation. They grip the safety wire so hard that they tore them while in use. And it’s hard to lock them.

The package arrived and the driver indicated the box was open. I took it anyway knowing what was inside. Everything looked okay and I decided to put the pliers through their paces. It took a herculean effort to lock the pliers and that was without the safety wire! Once I used safety wire it took even more effort to lock the pliers. The pliers themselves functioned as they should but, it appeared they were not manufactured correctly. I've used safety wire pliers before and never did it take so much effort.

Break in quickly but will break off wire till then. Very sharp where wire twists.

Very good wire-gripping jaws, and the spinning mechanism works smoothly and reliably.
