Got this for the wife and I when we purchased a bunch of frozen meat from a parking lot sale and came home with what seemed like hundreds of sealed frozen packages that would eventually need thawing.The tray size is nice - it fits two large T-bone steaks with no problem. The meat does thaw quicker and the water is nicely collected and doesn't make a mess. The only problem was that the little rubber feet tend to come off - one came off right when I opened the package.All in all though, it works well and I do recommend it.

I had been wanting to get one of these for years following a divorce, where she kept all the kitchen-y stuff.After researching most available here, this one stood out because of it's size too cost. It's the biggest I found available, and still about the same cost as smaller ones. This can completely thaw 4-5 thick (we're talking big butcher shop sized, not store bought) brats (it can hold up to 8) in about a half hour at room temperature. I've used it several times, and It always works as I had remembered our old one doing. Fill the bottom tray with a little hot water, and it works even faster.This should be a part of all BBQ Dad's grilling equipment, if you store a lot of frozen meats like I do.

It is sturdy and top quality.

The product is a nice size to hold multiple items. The problem is it comes with NO instructions and you wonder how in the world it could work. We figured out you need to add hot water to the base tray and keep it at room temperature. I started it just sitting in the fridge and nothing happened after an hour.Even with adding the hot water and letting it sit out, it still had ice particles after an hour. Don’t know that I’m sold on the idea yet that it works. Time will tell.

This is a good thawing plate for frozen things. It is important to put the meat directly on the plate for the best thawing. I have done several cuts of beef and it thaws them to room temperature in a couple of hours, from a freezer that is at -4 degrees F. I will be keeping this and using it often!

I used one of these defrosting boards at my Mothers house. Hers was a different brand. I opted to buy this one because of the drain pan underneath to catch the liquid from defrosting. THIS BOARD DOES NOT WORK. Find a different brand. I would 100% return this board but I passed the return period.
