A clean and satisfying snack
I eat a lot of tinned fish - sardines, tuna, mackerel and others, sometimes trout or salmon, sometimes octopus and cod liver. I really like the taste of fish in oil, but sometimes I just want some light clean protein. This is perfect for that, a solid alternative to high-quality sardines in water I have had this for all meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as snacks, always right out of the tin and with no additional condiments, and have been consistently happy with it. I think many will find this a bit bland, or maybe slightly dry. It is quite dense and meaty, so that's a natural impression, you have to be looking to have that sort of fish. It doesn't have that mild bitterness or acridity that characterizes some fish packed in water. It's particularly good when you don't want anything too heavy, so for breakfast or supper. I haven't tried cooking it, or in a sandwich or anything, so I can't comment on that. But I recommend it as a standard part of your tinned fish rotation, being very mild you can have it regularly without tiring of it.

Great
Great product. Best tasting of Season's mackerel. Grilled. There is another variation that has 460mg of sodium which is extremely high. This one has 230mg which is healthier. Fyi

Top Quality Fish
Minus 1 star for being a bit overpriced, but otherwise a top quality 5 star product. Very mild fish taste with a hint of grilled flavor, and you can tell the fish was cooked and packed very fresh. I love using the olive oil in it to cook my rice or pasta in with to infuse deep flavor into the rice or pasta as it cooks and rehydrates. No since wasting the heart healthy olive oil! To costly to waste any of it. Then I add in the rest of the fish along with fresh steamed veggies, mushrooms, spicy Asian chili crisp "the same used in dan dan noddles", a dash of soy sauce after the rice is cooked. So very good for a rich hearty healthy dinner. Love it!

Better taste of mackerel than sardines . I love them
I’m not a fan of sardines as a value, but these mackerels filets taste more like tuna and I get all the benefits of a can of sardines. Great product

Yum! Mackerel!
Delicious mackerel. I read somewhere that it's better to get your oily fish packed in water rather than oil because less omega 3 escapes that way. I don't know if that's true, but who cares? These fish are delicious!
