Very nice hatchet sheath for the money. It fit the Swiss Military surplus hatchet I bought it for fine. Large enough for a slightly bigger head but fits well.

Product is as described. Perfect fit for axe blade.

Leather is thick. Rivets placed strategically and stiching is stout. The strap and bucke are strong with enough belt holes to get nice gental snug fit. Now I'm safer from cutting me or someone else and it will protect all the work I put into getting it razor sharp The discription was accurate so I picked the perfect fit for my re-handled (2-1/4 lb) axe. I'm much more accurate with it than the 3+ pounders. Now it won't get it dulled in transport or in the tool locker. All I did was extra was add two coats of neatsfoot oil and topped it with mink oil. The leather doesn't get wet but does hold water inside so I dry it out inside the edge protecter so the hatchet won't rust. This is a high quality sheath. It exceeded my expectations after purchasing so many junk imports from C****. I recommend this sheath to anyone who wants a superior, easy to use product to protect all their effort put into sharpening their axe.

This is a great ax mask and ordering it was simple an easy to make sure I had the right size for my ax. So why isn't it a 5*? Bad first. There are a couple reasons, and these are purely my opinion. First, the rivets that hold the leather together could have been of higher quality. I feel like these will be the weak point of this mask and may eventually pull out of the backside of the leather. Second, there's very little curve to the pattern of the rivets and so the mask is "wobbly" when it's on. It's not going to fall off or anything, but I just don't like it this way. On the Good Side. The leather seems to be of high quality and it is well constructed. While I don't like the rivets, they are well set in the leather and done very well. I'm looking forward to the leather breaking in more as it's very stiff right now but that's to be expected. The strap to attach the mask to the ax is very long, which I like because while this is only intended for the ax it's currently on, I have several other ax heads I'm restoring that once hung will need the extra length and I can just order more of this same mask. All in all, if buying a generic ax mask, this is a solid option and most likely I will buy this same mask again for the other axes as I finish them.

Mileage will probably vary depending on what you're putting these on but mine fit my Estwing hatchet perfectly and the build quality is solid. Good thick leather that looks great. Easy and functional, seems to protect the blade well.

The small is a perfect fit for the Helko Werk Light Forster. The 28 inch 2.5 lb head. Ordered it right off the chart and it was spot on. The leather is robust compared to some other brands of axes sheaths. It was dry, nothing a little bock 4 cant handle.

I just bought the sheath for an existing 5” axe that needed quality protection. The sheath is probably the best quality I’ve owned or seen before. If the sheaths are this good, I can only imagine how good the axes are.
