Well, it works. However, it gets warm. Very very warm. Warm to the point where I don't want to leave it alone and plugged into an outlet. I don't remember the original equipment getting that warm, however in this device's defense I don't believe that I ever picked up the original charger while it was plugged in for any amount of time.I just happened to have the charger plugged in while it was next to the laptop.I'll keep it until I can find the original charger. I'll also make sure that I go over our fire evacuation plan with the family just in case.

So far it does what it says it would do. As others have indicated, the plug is a regular two prong plug (no ground), therefore the converter's power cord receptical also has only two prongs. I only mention this because sometimes I use one power cord with more than one converter (no need to plug in a different power cord into the surge protector), but all of my other adaptors have the third prong for ground. The size is slightly smaller than the power adapter that came with my Dell 13 7000 series, model i7359-4855SLV laptop . . . other than that, it works well.

This is nothing fancy... but it does exactly what it states to, charge my laptop. It does get a bit warm (why I am giving it a 4 star instead of a 5), but honestly, it isn't that big of a deal. It is a great back up charger or a replacement if you lost your original one. It is a great value for the price... especially when you compare it to the price of a real Dell laptop charger.

Product works, but doesn't last long with normal wear and tear. Not very durable. At that price, though, buy a couple and plan to replace.

Ignore the stars -- they only mean it works on day #1.I'll monitor power draw over a full notebook charge to verify device 'smarts' sometime this week.In the meantime, I'm VERY happy to report that the plug fits my Dell 13" 2015 Chromebook. Phew !

The charger seems to work very well the only proplem I have had is the connection adapter does not fit my Dell Inspirion 11 as well as the original Dell power charger did.-Rick

Terrible. It worked well for like the first three days. After that it refused to charge correctly. It was very slow and would charge and then not charge and then charge again only to die after a couple seconds. It keeps going on like that and its drives me crazy.

Recently purchase this charger for my aunt and father, as they broke the original charger that came with their new Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series. Dell clearly didn't have the right design when it came to the charger. This charger is as good if not better then the original and it's designed better. The 90 degree angle helps those who are clumsy and those with animals to prevent damage. The original Dell changer was straight and located on the corner, needless to say the laptop fell and the charger bent. With this charger, the laptop was bumped and fell but the charger was not effected.
